CTS Snapshot

Welcome to our CTS Snapshot - a weekly celebration update. We are delighted to share with parents and carers alike student triumphs at Corby Technical School. We are proud of every student and every success they have - please feel free to share with us any achievements they might have.

Students receive lesson stars where a teacher feels a student has made an excellent contribution in their lesson. Some students receive multiple lesson stars across the week, below are the students who have received the most stars for each year group this week:

Year 7:

Daniel H 7CA, Daniel M 7TE, Durel 7CA, Oliwia 7ST, Bree 7TA, Matthew 7TA, Evelina 7SW and Katie 7TE.

Year 8:

Nojus 8CA, Poppy 8SW, Gorana 8TA, Myles 8TA, Nyah 8ST and David 8SW.

Year 9:

Fabian 9TE, Ruby 9SW, Max 9CA and Shontelle 9CO.

Year 10:

Sophie 10CO, Patrick 10CU, Ethan 10CO, Norman 10CU, Levente 10TE and Sonia 10CA.

Year 11:

Jennifer 11ST, Deliana 11TA and Orla 11ST.

Year 12 visited the Leicester Autumn University Fair at King Power Stadium this week. They came back with lots of prospectuses which has provided ideas for future University visits.

Students were able to speak with University and Apprenticeship providers as well as attend useful seminars. It was a fantastic day and provided the students with really useful information about their next steps.

Well done to the Year 11 students who have completed their NEA 1 Investigation, you have all worked very hard and produced excellent work!

Year 10 students have also worked very hard this week and have made their first attempt at puff pastry with excellent results, pictured below is a sausage roll made by Ethan C.

Our co-curricular programme has returned this week, please see below the clubs available to students, if you wish to register your child, please do this via Edulink.

Our students have made a fantastic start to their learning, and lots of lesson stars and achievement points have been given out by staff. In particular we would like to celebrate these students this week who have been recognised most highly for their efforts:

We held our Sixth Form open event this week for September 2025 admissions. The event was a great success and was at full capacity. Thank you to all our current parents/carers who attended, we look forward to seeing our Year 11 students carrying on their studies with us.

Wednesday 16th October to Sunday 20th October - Duke of Edinburgh Gold Qualifier.

Wednesday 23rd October - Flu Vaccinations - for students with permission.
