A Message from Mrs. DeNinno
On the Arts:
It's no secret that the arts are our special sauce, and hopefully this was a contributing factor to you selecting Idaho Arts Charter School for your child. For me personally, they shaped my journey. I grew up attending ballet classes six nights a week in NY and played in symphony and chamber orchestras in HS. I went on to dance professionally for ten years, most recently at the Morrison Center with Ballet Idaho, which was truly a dream. But that's not the most impactful part... when I made a career shift into education due to an injury, I felt confident and prepared. I knew that all of my hard work, creativity, perseverance, and passion would translate well on a new path..and it did. Our students are exposed to these intangible skills that will prepare them for any career of their choosing every day.
Help Wanted!
Do you have an impactful story about how the arts personally helped you or another friend/family member/child? Even if it's not an "arts career", we'd love to collect stories of how they help inspire, shape and connect people. Email me your story at Lauren.DeNinno@idahoartscharter.org. I'm looking for ten for a project...

Report Cards:
Thank you for your patience with report cards. We plan on having them out to you by Friday.
MS Winter Dance:
We are excited to add in our first MS Dance at the end of next week. This is a time for students to gather and have fun together outside of the confines of the normal academic day. We will have our team here, but could use a few more parent chaperones. If you are able to help us out in the evening for 7th and 8th grade, please use the SignUp Genius below.
Future Events:
- Thursday, February 13th: Secondary Campus Parent Teacher Conferences (see graphic below-mandatory for all students)
- Tuesday, April 8th: Middle School Culture Fair 5:30-7:00pm
Reminders:
- Spirit Shirt Day is this Friday and most other Fridays. As a reminder, students are allowed to wear blue or black jeans on Spirit Shirt day without rips/holes.
Staffing Update- New Band Director
We are super excited to welcome Mrs. Peterson as our new Band Director! Mrs. Peterson is originally from the Magic Valley where she taught high school band, choir and middle school band. Her main instrument is piano, but she has also played various percussion instruments in different ensembles. She and her husband Zach, moved to the Treasure Valley 7 years ago. They live in Meridian with their daughter, Aurabella. She is excited to be a part of a school that promotes arts education.
