A Message from Ms. Peterson
Hello MCP3 Families!
This week our scholars finish their first learning unit, All About Me, with a focus on curiosity. A huge shout out to our MCP3 staff for nurturing the curiosity of our scholars each week through asking open ended questions, giving scholars choice during centers, and by engaging scholars in various experiments!
Another HUGE shout out to the MCP3 staff for their engagement during our first PD day! A special shout out to Ms. Moon and Ms. Harrell who each presented to the staff! Their leadership is invaluable in supporting MCP3 to shine. Thank you!
Friday is Dress Down Day
This Friday, 9/20, is our very first network wide DRESS DOWN DAY!! Whoot Whoot! Scholars should still be dressed appropriately for school and for the weather but do not have to wear their MCP3 uniforms! I can't wait to see our scholars in their cute outfits!
Aftercare Reminders/Update
Our aftercare program is currently full and scholars must have an Aftercare Registration Form completed in order for scholars to stay for aftercare. Aftercare is an additional $4.00/hour from 3:30pm-5:30pm. Scholars that are NOT signed up for aftercare must be picked up by 3:30pm. A late pick up fee of $1.00/minute will be applied to your bill if scholars are picked up past the 3:30pm and are not signed up for aftercare.
Ms. Newman, an MCP employee of 7+ years and now an MCP3 parent, has joined our aftercare staff. Ms. Newman will be working Monday-Wednesday and Ms. Galvin will continue to work Thursday & Friday. You can reach out to Ms. Newman or Ms. Galvin via Dojo if you need to get into contact with them during aftercare hours.
With Love and Respect,
Ms. Peterson

Theme 1: Awesome Me
Week 4: Curious Me
We are born curious and it is this curiosity that drives our search for knowledge throughout our life. Children are especially curious as they begin their search for knowledge at a high speed in the early years. This week children will learn to value their curiosity. They will learn that it is their sense of wonder that stimulates their thinking.
