Blanco High School Hosts Successful Veterans Day Celebration
On Monday morning, the Blanco High School gym was filled with gratitude and respect as students, staff, and community members gathered for our annual Veterans Day celebration. This meaningful event provided an opportunity to honor the veterans in attendance and to recognize the immense contributions of all who have served our country. We were proud to host this gathering and deeply appreciate everyone who played a role in making it such a memorable occasion.
Special thanks go to Mr. Lane, Mrs. Lechner and our talented band, who set a patriotic tone for the event with stirring performances, as well as to Mr. Kersten, Mrs. Taylor and our FFA students, who contributed their time and dedication to making the celebration run smoothly. Our parents and community members also played an integral part, helping decorate and coordinate logistics for the event. Additionally, Mrs. Petri and her Culinary Arts students went above and beyond by providing a delicious breakfast for our honored guests.
We are especially grateful to our young men who have committed to joining the military to serve our nation. Their choice reflects the values we hold dear at Blanco High School, and we could not be prouder of their dedication to the country.
Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, and contributed to this Veterans Day celebration. It is through the efforts of our community that we can properly honor our veterans and express our heartfelt appreciation for their service and sacrifice.
Blanco High School Football: District Champions!
The Blanco High School football team has achieved a remarkable milestone, finishing the season as District Champions with an impressive 4-0 record! This achievement not only reflects the hard work and dedication of our players and coaches but also highlights the unwavering support from our Blanco community.
The team represented Blanco High School with determination, teamwork, and skill in the playoffs, where they fought valiantly in the first round. Despite their best efforts, they fell to Van Vleck in a hard-fought battle, 48-41.
We are incredibly proud of everything our players and coaches have accomplished this season. Their commitment to excellence and resilience throughout the season has been truly inspiring. Thank you to our community for standing behind them every step of the way!
Blanco High School Celebrates Athletic Signings of Three Standout Athletes
On Wednesday, Blanco High School celebrated the signing of three of our exceptional athletes who are set to make their mark at the collegiate level. Madison Hunter committed to Lubbock Christian University to continue her journey in softball, Tylee Shires signed with the University of Arizona for beach volleyball, and Sophia Young committed to Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio.
These young women have dedicated themselves to both academics and athletics, and their achievements reflect the hard work and determination they have shown throughout their high school careers. We are incredibly proud of Madison, Tylee, and Sophia and wish them every success as they embark on this exciting new chapter. Congratulations to these talented athletes, and thank you for representing Blanco High School with excellence!
Teamwork in Action: Building Skills with Marshmallow Towers
In Coach Shehane’s Principles of Business, Marketing, and Finance class, students participated in a Division of Labor activity, where they collaborated to build a Marshmallow Tower. This hands-on challenge encouraged teamwork and highlighted the benefits of task specialization, giving students practical insights into effective project management.
