Make Your Voice Heard: Family Engagement Survey Open February 20-28!
Lubbock ISD values your feedback! Our 2025 Family Engagement Survey is open from February 20-28, and we encourage all families to participate. This annual survey helps us improve communication, strengthen school-family partnerships, and make informed decisions for our students.
Visit www.LubbockISD.org/survey to complete the survey. You'll need your child’s student ID number, which can be found on their progress report or in Gradebook.

Our LHS Academic Decathlon team is headed to state! This hardworking group of westernerds is off to San Antonio this coming weekend, ready to represent Lubbock High with pride. Let’s wish them luck!
Three Qualify for Speech and Debate Nationals!
We have three competitors going to nationals and we couldn’t be prouder! Mason Wittie in Humorous Interpretation, Sannvi Sharma in World Schools Debate, and Grant McCall (not pictured) in Senate! Congrats to everyone for a great district!
Westerners Make Waves at State! 🏆
Gunnar Hansen set a new state record in the 100 breaststroke with 54.69 and broke city and school records in the 100 butterfly, going under 50 seconds for the first time in Lubbock ISD history. He also took 2nd in the 100 breaststroke.
Emery Fox swam a 4:59.45 in the 500 freestyle, becoming the first Lubbock ISD swimmer to go under 5:00. She also placed 2nd in the 200 IM.
Congrats to all our swimmers and divers for an outstanding State meet!

🍎 Doyle Vogler Memorial Scholarship
The Doyle Vogler Memorial Scholarship honors a longtime teacher and administrator in Lubbock ISD. Vogler touched the lives of countless students and staff over his 30-year career in the district. He was passionate about the district’s mission of nurturing, developing, and inspiring every child, every day and was deeply committed to educational equity for all students.
These $2,500 scholarships are awarded to support the educational goals of Lubbock ISD students that embody the Lubbock ISD mission, vision, and values.
