AZ Superintendent of the Year
Congratulations to Dr. Scott Menzel, Superintendent of the Scottsdale Unified School District, for being selected as the 2025 Arizona Superintendent of the Year! Dr. Menzel will be recognized at the ASBA/ASA Winter Conference, and he will represent AZ to compete for national recognition through AASA.
Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) News
AASA, The School Superintendents Association, and CoSN, the Consortium for School Networking, have launched a partnership committed to building a community of engaged superintendents and other school system leaders who have the skills and knowledge to bolster dynamic digital learning environments on behalf of K-12 students.
AASA is the premier organization for our nation’s superintendents, while CoSN serves as the premier professional organization for school system technology leaders. The primary focus this month is on a special CoSN Report, publised in partnership with CAST, on AI Accessibility in Education.

Dr. Angelina Castagno (NAU) and Dr. Barbara Remondini (Wickenburg USD) led an interactive session on Administrator Wellbeing, with some help from ThoughtExchange, plus a breakout session with a deeper dive into wellbeing. We plan to share more about this soon.
