Pirates Post
Week of March 18th
Message from Principal Drew...
Thank you to our community for your support. The Perquimans County Bands vendor fair and the Baseball Alumni events were successful because of you. We would like to thank every vendor, sponsor and community member that supported these two events and helped to make an impact on our students and the ability to continue to offer outstanding programs at our school.
The ACT will be given to all Juniors this week. Juniors have been notified of which day they will be taking the test. Juniors you are encouraged to take your time and do your very best on the ACT as your outcome could impact scholarship and college acceptance opportunities.
Good luck to the Perquimans County High School Band and director Evan Copeland as they perform at the Music Performance Assessment this Wednesday in Williamston. This event is a championship level event and our students have been working very hard to prepare for their performance. We look forward to the results of their hard work later this week. Good luck to all involved.
Mark you calendars for Wednesday of this week as PCHS will host its first ever home track meet starting at 4:00 PM. This will be multi-team event and the beginning of a great new chapter of athletics at PCHS.
We have two exciting events for our athletics department next week. On Monday 3/25 at 5:00 PM we will hold our rescheduled Meet the Pirates Event at the new PCHS Track and Soccer facility. The public is welcome to come out to this event to meet the coaches and team members for both sports. On Thursday March 28 at 5:30 PM we will hold a ribbon cutting at the PCHS Softball field to acknowledge the renovations and improvements done to the facility over the past two years.
Make plans to attend the Addams Family production from the PCHS Drama department on either March 27 or March 28 at 7:00 PM each night. Our students have been rehearsing for the past two months and are excited to see an auditorium full of community and guests for both shows.
