Welcome to CBC Youth

These will be some of the most surprising, challenging, frustrating, productive, hopeful, and sanctifying years (or days) ahead. These years really are unique compared to the previous stage (whether that was Elementary School or Middle School or even the 9th grade). The reason why is because not only is culture rapidly changing, but your student is changing as well. They are changing biologically (yup, we're talking about hormones!) but they're also thinking through different things, questioning things, and processing things that were not even there 6 months ago. But if we're really honest, you're changing too parents. If the Lord has been gracious to allow you to see, you've also have been through a huge season of change as well. This affects how you see your students, how you see the world, and how you see how those things relate.

Parents, this is a season of great opportunity and hope. If you would just see this moment, this year if you need to, as a mission field with your student, a platform that you've never had before, or moments, time, and milestone to journey with your student. Imagine what the Lord might do through your parenting this year! Imagine what lessons the BOTH of you will learn from the Lord this year! Expect the Lord to move (as He always does) and may He fill you with more and more of Himself and explode your heart with joy!

We offer several simple programs in order to equip and engage your student for the Gospel. Our most basic and welcoming program is DISCIPLESHIP GROUPS which is opened to all students and their friends. In these Discipleship Groups which meet primarily on Sundays 2nd hour (but connect throughout the week) they have a chance to share, pray, and study together. We offer a weekly training & leadership program on Fridays called ACCESS, which is open to all who thirsts for doctrinal training and leadership development. Lastly, for those who are committed Christians and are members of our Church, our most intense form of discipleship comes within our structure of MEMBERSHIP. Our members are held to a much higher accountability of growth and discipleship and they are given more opportunities to serve, go on mission trips, and join our worship team.

Hey everyone, as you're praying through where to attend and exercise your membership for the upcoming year, I want you to pray about and consider being a part of this youth group for better or for worse. We never assume that just because you were here last year that you want to be this year and we want each and every year to be a commitment. I know many of you have graduated and moved on from the youth group but still, I want invite you to join and to serve students as you see the need.

For leaders, parents, and youth...please take a look at the application and pray through it. If the Lord leads you here, we welcome you. If you decide not to join, then i pray you find a church and community that is gospel-minded, gospel-serious, and that you bless that church and community with your gifts, talents, resources, and membership. If you need help finding a church, please let me know and I'll be sure to find you one that's awesome.
