This year has absolutely flown by!!! With the month of May being here, it is important that attendance continues to be a priority to close out the year. The students have numerous opportunities for assessment to show the growth that they have made this year. There are also a lot of opportunities for the Jefferson PK-8 family of staff and students to celebrate the growth students have made this year.

A few important bits of information to be considered:

• The weather is warmer outside, but the building temperatures may not reflect the same temperatures.
• Tank tops, sandals without back straps, flipflops, and short shorts are NOT permitted. If you have questions, please contact your child's teacher or principal.

During the month of May, students in grades KG-8th grade will participate in the last round of NWEA MAP testing. The test helps teachers understand where your child’s academic strengths and weaknesses are, so they can tailor instructions to meet your child’s unique learning needs. It also helps track your child’s academic growth over the school year.

See the attached flyer for information on an event being held at the Student Recreation and Wellness Center. Please note that the event is open to the first 10 students plus ONE adult registered per building.

The Raider Pantry is available for the any student or family to use. The pantry contains non-perishable food items, meats (when available), clothing and personal hygiene products. If you are in need of items from the pantry you can call Miss Stacey at (330) 675-6963 or use the link below to access available items and place an order. Jefferson PK-8 Raider Pantry . The resources from the pantry are available during the summer using the link above.

At Jefferson this year, we have been working with our students on realizing that just because you can't do something does not mean you can't do it, it might just be that you are not skilled at it YET. Think about ways this summer that you can work with your students to develop and maintain a growth mindset.
