Attendance Procedures

Please call the office at 973-8250 to report absences so we can record things correctly. If you are leaving for an appointment, you will call and let us know of when you leave and return. Just like you would do if you were picking them up at school.

Full Remote BOE Meeting

The next meeting to discuss Full Remote is scheduled for Monday, January 11. Until then, we will remain at Full Remote Learning for all. You can join the meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Cox Channel 20 or by following this link www.usd259.org/wpstvonline

Magnet Enrollment

Please click the link for applying for a magnet school for 21-22 School Year. https://www.usd259.org/magnet

If you are a current magnet student, you do not need to apply again to stay at McLean. 5th grade students must apply to a middle school magnet program - you do not need to apply for your neighborhood Middle School. Siblings of current McLean students must apply to have them considered for McLean next year. Please contact Mrs. Graves with any questions about the Magnet program at McLean or in the district. The deadline for applications is February 19, 2021.

PTA will have a regular meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 12 at 6:30 using Microsoft Teams. You’ll receive a link to join the meeting in an email in the days before the meeting if you are a member. Please call the school at 973-8250 if you would like to become a new member. We’ll be making plans for Spring events and getting reports on our financials, as well as hearing from Mrs. Graves.

Our November meeting was well attended and we hope to see/ hear more parents at this next meeting. We have already funded multiple requests from staff, including purchasing a new blower for our custodian, Mr. Ramon, to keep our spaces clean and dry, and a subscription to a learning service that will be used by all students in the science classroom. In December, PTA also provided all staff members with Chipotle gift cards to use for a tasty meal in place of our usual Holiday Luncheon.

In February, PTA will be supporting staff with a catered lunch during conferences. Last fall families provided individually wrapped snacks and soft drinks for staff to enjoy while they were at the school for the long days of video conferences.

Finally, if you ordered a McLean T-Shirt and have not been able to pick it up, we will have them available at the school within the next couple of weeks.
