ABLAZE

November is a time for being thankful. Why? Well the obvious reason is that Thanksgiving is in this month. But, in the midst of the weather getting colder, all of us getting more tired, and the holidays approaching, being thankful can help us focus on the One who gives us all what we need every day.

"I will give to the Lord the thanks due to his righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord, the Most High." (Psalm 7:17)

Let us be thankful for His provision, His protection, and His love during this month.

Connection Hour is still in full swing! We meet on Sundays in the Youth Room from 9:30-10:30 am and are talking about the book of Revelation (It's taking a long time!).

What the morning looks like:

9:15-9:30 Youth arrive and they can eat snacks

9:30-9:35 Announcements

9:35-9:50 Jr. high go down to the gym to do a game and Sr. high do highs and lows

9:50-10:00 Jr. high and sr. high get settled into the youth room for the lesson

10:00-10:15 Jr. high goes downstairs to discuss while Sr. high stay in the youth room to discuss.

This change has been different and somewhat difficult but is better for flow of the hour, deeper lesson time, and more meaningful conversations and relationships with youth and volunteers.

ABLAZE Wednesday nights are still happening and we have some fun things planned ahead! These nights are from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the youth room with food, fellowship, games, a message, and small group time.

We will be starting a two week series in November called "Who You Are: A Biblical Look Into the Enneagram" where we will discuss the personality test and what the Bible has to say about it as well.

November 6th: "What do you feel?"

November 13th: "What do you think or do?"

If you'd like to provide a dinner, we are open to have your family provide dinner for us!

The ABLAZE Winter Retreat will be at Tejas Camp and Retreat this year! The point of retreats are for youth to get away from their daily schedule, spend time with friends in the great outdoors, and connect with God during messages worship, prayer, and discussion time.

For our Friendsgiving this year, we'll be having it off-campus at the Linebrink residency! We'll have fellowship, food, and a devotion!

Every month, the Sr. High Youth help out with a church service! Whether it's greeting, ushering, or helping in the cafe, they have some part of the service!

The Sr. High Youth help out every 2nd week of the month.
