KPAT Update

Hello amazing families!

Just popping in to your inbox to share some fun things happening both here at PAT and out in the community. There is so much to do this time of year! There are so many summer-loving people out there--does anyone else get their energy from this mild, cool weather?! The scent of pumpkin spice and bonfires are in the air and it is the best. We saw some of you at the Kirkwood Police Department Open House last weekend and love being in touch with our families outside of our visits!

We are always trying to figure out the best way to serve our families. Below please find a very short poll (only 2 questions!). We haven't asked these questions in a while, and would love if you took a second to answer. There are times opportunities pop up after we send this email and it is always a challenge to think of the best way to reach you to let you know; we don't want you to feel like we are spamming you.

Join Ms. Gaby for a story time that is TWICE the fun- stories in both English and Spanish. After sitting and listening, it's time to MOVE! The Discovery Room is open for free play.

Snowy Day!

Join us at on the field at Kirkwood Early Childhood Center (100 N. Sappington Rd.) for a fun filled outdoor event! We have some snowy surprises this year, activities, a coffee truck and smiles galore! This free event is Saturday 11/9/24 from 9:00a-10:30a. Free event! Please RSVP to give us an idea of the number of familes attending. Thank you!

We have our regular Monday morning Discovery Room times ready to go through December. If additional opportunities pop up, we will be sure to communicate those to you! Click on any of the Discovery Room graphics or use this link: Fall Discovery Room Sign-Ups

Reminder: Please continue to check dates for our Discovery Room play times. Often we have last minute availability as families let their spots go due to change of plans, illness, etc. Click on any of the photos below to check the sign ups.

If you have a child ages 3-5 years old and live within the boundaries of the Kirkwood School District, they are eligible to participate in this screening once per year. Any child in this age range is welcome! The screening includes the play based developmental screening along with health, hearing, vision and social emotional components. It is a great way to get a snapshot of where your child is in their developement.

**3 years old and younger will have their screening done by their Parent Educator. If you do not have a Parent Educator or no longer get home visits on a regular basis, please reach out to the office and we will work with you to make it happen! 314-213-6137

Make sure to follow your "home" elementary school on social media or call the school for information and upcoming fun events. Generally speaking, these events are best for ages 3-5 years old, and give your family a chance to visit and get to know their potential school destination in a relaxed atmosphere, helps build relationships, and make the eventual Kindergarten transition smoother for everyone.

Maybe there was a challenge they helped you navigate through or you just LOVED the activity they brought. We would be thrilled to hear how we are doing.
