The reality of our bus driver shortage...
Yesterday we almost did not have enough drivers to get our students home from school. At a minimum, this probably would have meant that the tennis team would not have been able to go to on their tennis trip to Davenport. If you are retired, have flexible work from home, etc. - please consider being a substitute bus driver. This absolutely crucial and essential position is also a fantastic opportunity for you to serve your community in a rewarding way. Our students need you!
WALL OF FAME NOMINATIONS ARE OPEN!
Reardan-Edwall School District
The Reardan Wall of Fame exists to honor those that exude Reardan values through individual and team accomplishments, positive impact in our school and broader community, and those that went above and beyond over an extended period of time.
NOTE: If your nominee is NOT chosen for this WOF class, they will be carried over to the following year(s) for consideration.

Middle School Update
Middle school students are enjoying a hockey unit in P.E. this week, and a glow stick lab in science class where they examined the chemical reaction that creates that fun glowing effect. We continue to work on adding writing to all of our content areas and get ready for our state assessments in May where students will demonstrate their growth this year.
Mr. Taylor is working with a select group of band students to prepare for our annual Bi-county Honor Band and Choir concert. We hope you will join us on Friday, March 22nd at 7 pm at the Fox Theater in Spokane for an incredible performance. Admission is free, however, we do appreciate donations if you are able to support this amazing band experience.
We hope you received your parent letter this week along with the fall STAR assessment data for math and science. Please take time to read through the letter and put upcoming important dates on your calendar. We are looking forward to seeing you at spring conferences on March 28th and 29th. We are scheduling specific conferences with families from 8 am to 3 pm on the 28th and using the evening time from 4-7 pm on the 28th and for drop in conferences. On the 29th teachers will be available from 8-11:30 am. Please email Principal Newsum if you have any questions or would like to schedule a time to speak with all of your child’s core teachers together. dnewsum@reardansd.net.

Prom Fun!
Mr. Dewalt's Art Class - Student Work
As high school spring athletes prepare for their first competition, emotions are a whirlwind of activity. Excitement as they are eager to showcase the hard work they've poured into their training. Anticipation and nervousness, as they start envisioning the challenges and opportunities awaiting them on the field, track, or court. Doubt, as they wonder if they have prepared enough and if they will measure up to their own expectations and those of their coaches and teammates.
In the moments before the competition begins there is a surge of determination and a readiness to embrace the challenge and seize the opportunity to shine.
