Dear Families of Lansing's Littlest Lions!
Greetings EC families,
Thank you for the 41 people who have fill out the family engagement survey! If you haven't yet, please fill it out. It has now turned into a competition with a few principals to see who can get more. Please help us out!
https://districttools.org/lansingfes2024Parent-teacher conferences were a success in our ECSE/Peer Model and No-Fee Classes. Teachers were able to meet with families and discuss their child’s progress and upcoming goals for the remainder of the school year.
We successfully completed our school-wide Fire Drill and Crisis Drill this month. Our little lions are learning many lessons on keeping safe. As the weather has finally turned to what's starting to feel like Spring, we've been spending as much time as possible outside!

There have been multiple cases of head lice in the building.
Lice passes from person to person by direct contact or by sharing clothing with lice on them. Head lice cause itching, commonly at the back of the head and neck or behind the ears. Many effective creams and shampoos are available over the counter or by prescription from your doctor.

Friendly Reminders
As our safety needs continue to be met and we have additions to our building the Early Childhood Crisis Response Team are going to continue to update parents and community members with our protocols.
We are focusing on making sure everyone who picks up our little lions who attend the ECSE and No-Fee programs are on the pick up list on skyward. Staff is instructed to double check if unsure. This could look like asking to see a drivers license or if the adult is on the pick up list. If you have questions or concerns please contact me directly
Protocol for entering the building:
Childcare side:
Please ring camera doorbell and stand in front of it where we can see you. Please respond to the person speaking to you from the speaker. Parents have the option of picking up/dropping off their students in their classrooms or having a staff member do it for them. The Early Childhood Crisis Response Teams is working on funding for parents to have badges or stickers to wear in order for them be identified to everyone in the building. Please stay tuned for those details.
ECSE/No-Fee Classroom Side:
Our staff has been advised to ask everyone who comes to the door to state their name and the reason they are there before they enter. Upon entering the building, every guest will sign in, if they are going past the front entry way. Also, if a parent is picking up their student early from school, they are required to show their ID.
If there any questions, please contact Becca or Julie
