We're back!
After 19 months in temporary spaces, we are excited to announce that Schroeder library is open at full capacity. Students can sign out of full period study halls to access the library. Students with half block study halls who who need project help, collaboration time, or library materials can obtain a pre-signed pass from library staff before school (8:15 a.m.- 8:40 a.m.) Seniors are welcome any time they have a free period.
Pre-Kindergarten Classes
Pre-K students aren't easy to please. Henry pointed out that we really need to get some Legos and toys in the library!
Flexible Seating
Students relax with choice reading in one area of the library, while a class gets a NoodleTools refresher in the library classroom, and study hall students catch up on homework at tables in the main library space.
The Ridge Cafe
Students from Mr. Marcello's class sell coffee and snacks out of the cafe.
Booking Breakout Rooms
Our redesigned library has four breakout rooms. The Royal Room and the Vegas room can accommodate 6 people each. The Nook and The Cranny accommodate 4. Equipped with screens, these rooms are perfect for small group work, officer meetings, videoconferencing, and tutoring.
Breakout rooms can be reserved ahead of time through Mary Sprague, Jennifer Strege, or Robin Mezzanini.
The S.T.E.A.M. Room
Our redesigned library includes a makerspace: The S.T.E.A.M. Room. Equipped with games, art supplies, and manipulatives, The S.T.E.A.M. room is a creative space where students can work on passion projects, complete creative work for a class, or just take a brain break. Throughout the year we will feature creative programming and "how to" sessions.
VariQuest Cutout Maker
New this year, the library has added a VariQuest Cutout Maker to our makerspace equipment. It can be used to quickly die-cut letters, shapes, and more.
Make short work of poster projects by asking library staff for an introduction to the VariQuest.
With an easy-to-use touchscreen and intuitive interface, you won't need much direction to get started.
Preview available content from the cutout maker content guide.
