SO EXITED FOR 2024!!!!
December 22-No Boys and Girls Club
Dec 22-Jan 8th HOLIDAY BREAK!! See you next year!
Dear Woodside Families Families,
As we approach the end of another wonderful year at Woodside, I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to our incredible elementary school community. The holiday season is upon us, and it's a time to reflect on the joys and accomplishments we've shared together.
This year has been filled with growth, learning, and unforgettable moments for our students. From the first day of school to the various activities, projects, and events that unfolded, we have witnessed the dedication and enthusiasm of our students, teachers, staff, and parents. Each member of our community has played a vital role in creating a positive and nurturing environment for our young learners.
As we pause to celebrate the holidays, let us cherish the warmth and joy that come with spending time with loved ones. May this season bring you moments of peace, happiness, and togetherness. Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or any other holiday tradition, may it be a time of love and connection for you and your family.
Looking ahead to the new year, let us continue to work together to support the growth and success of our students. Your involvement and support make a significant impact on our school community, and we are grateful for the partnership we share.
Wishing you all a restful and joyful holiday season. May the coming year be filled with new opportunities, achievements, and continued success for our students and families.
Warmest regards,

Custome Ideas:
Need a Dutch Custome?
Visit a local thrift store. Starting around February, resale shops in the area begin to display various Dutch Customes for a decent price.
Follow the options below to "create" your own version on a Dutch custome. these styles will work for all ages!
Create your own Dutch Custom:
Visit Field's Fabrics on 8th Street. They have patterns to follow to have a custome made to fit you. They carry infant-adult custome patterns for both male and female styles.
We have a couple of tips to "create" a custome without having to sew one from scratch!
Female Style
Find a black maxi dress/long dress or a long black skirt with a black shirt..
Tie an apron that is striped, or made from white lace around your waist.
Purchase a white Dutch hat from Field's Fabrics or Dutch Village wear on your head.
Top it off with a red beaded necklace.
Male Style
Wear a pair of black dress pants.
Add a striped shirt (blue and white is common for Dutch customes).
Optional: wear a black button up vest over your shirt.
Tie a red bandana loosely around your neck.
Purchase a black Dutchman hat from Field's Fabric or Dutch Village to complete the look!
