As we head into the break, I want to take a moment to wish all of our families a joyful and peaceful Easter! May this time bring renewal, happiness, and special moments with loved ones.

Please remember that there will be no school from Monday, April 21 through Friday, April 25 for Spring Break. We hope everyone enjoys a restful week, and we look forward to welcoming our students back on Monday, April 28!

The Garfield Public Library is displaying School 6's student artwork as part of this year's Youth Art Month! Students' work is on display now through the end of April. Stop by the Library to check out our students' work!

We have been talking about responsibility and acceptance in our groups. Being responsible at school, doing homework assignments and classwork, and following directions in class are all important in order to succeed. Taking responsibility for our actions if we say or do something that breaks the rules, we need to accept the consequences that follow. Also, being accepting of our friends and classmates is important to make sure nobody feels left out or excluded. We all need to be kind to one another!

Dear Parent/Guardian,

All students going into the Middle School (6th grade) are REQUIRED to have one dose of Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis vaccine) AND one dose of Meningococcal vaccine, administered at age 11.

If your child has already received the required immunizations, please submit the documentation as soon as possible. All immunization paperwork can be submitted to the email or fax below.

Students that turn 11 years old after June 15th or over the summer months will be required to submit the updated immunization documentation on the first day of school to the Middle School nurses.

Please contact me with any questions or concerns. Thank you for your cooperation and prompt attention to this matter.

Attention all 3rd - 5th Grade Parents!

Testing letters are due back to school as soon as possible. Students will open these letters from their families before the State Test in May.

Many parents are informing teachers of Early Pick Ups or Children Not Attending Aftercare via Class Dojo the day of. Please note that teachers are teaching and may not get to check emails or messages sent via Class Dojo.

Please be aware of the following, noted in the Elementary School Handbook page 7: Parents requesting their child be excused from school before the school day ends must send written verification in advance signifying the reason, time, and who will pick up the student.

If an emergency occurs, and a child cannot attend aftercare or needs to be picked up early, please contact the School Secretary. Do not inform teachers via Class Dojo as you risk the possibility that teachers will not get the message on time.

RE-REGISTRATION PORTAL IS NOW OPEN.

ALL STUDENTS MUST RE-REGISTER.

Re-Registration Instructions

1. Complete the Re-Registration Form:

   • Ensure you fill out all required fields accurately.

   • List all children you have enrolled in the district.

2. Gather Required Documents:

   • Collect all necessary documents for re-registration. This may include proof of residency, identification, and any other required paperwork.

   • Ensure that you submit all the required documents together. Incomplete submissions may delay the re-registration process.

4. Review and Confirm:
