If you are interested in acrylic painting, watercolor painting, origami, colored pencils, graphite drawing or oil pastels, please come to room B168 to take a kit home. You do not have to be enrolled in an art class to take one, this is open to ALL students. This opportunity was made possible by a grant from the PTO. Half of the raffle proceeds go to Lunenburg's Best Buddies chapter, and the other half goes to one lucky winner! Tickets are $2.00 for one ticket, $5.00 for three tickets, or $10.00 for an arm's length. Every ticket helps make a difference!

Class of 2025
If you have not ordered your cap and gown yet for graduation, now would be the time to do so. The last day to order is January 19th. The website to place your order is:
https://www.buildagrad.com/lunenburghs
Also, I will be ordering diploma's soon. I ask that each of you check PowerSchool to be sure that we have your name spelled correctly or if you wish to not include your middle name on your diploma. Most students have their full first, middle and last name on their diploma. If I do not hear back from you before January 31st about making changes, I will place the order to have your full name that we have in PowerSchool on your diploma. Please let me know if you have any questions. tcooney@lunenburgschools.net
Yearbook
Senior parents: Use the link below to buy a senior recognition ad in the yearbook. These ads must be ordered through the Jostens site. Please do not send ads to the school or to Mrs. Yourk. The deadline to order an ad is 2/28/25.

Also, we'd like to start collecting pictures of "little seniors". We'd love pictures of seniors from their younger years (school activities, sports, etc.) Group photos are great. Send them to yearbook@lunenburgschools.net.
2025 Yearbooks are still on sale. Click the link below to reserve your copy. The current price, good until 2/28 is $90.

Lions Club Recycle Challenge
The Lunenburg Lions Club is participating in the TREX recycling challenge. The challenge is to collect 1,000 lbs. of plastic that would otherwise end up in the landfill. The plastic is recycled into TREX products and the Lions Club will receive a beautiful TREX bench if they can reach their goal.
Plastic that is acceptable is clean, dry grocery bags, bread bags, bubble wrap, plastic shipping envelopes, cereal bags, salt, pallet or wood wrapping, newspaper bags, ice bags and the like.
We can all do our part to help save our environment. Plastic can be dropped off at the donation boxes located at Lunenburg Middle High School lobby. There are other collection boxes located at the food pantry at TC Passions and Ritter.
NHS Peer Tutoring
The LHS National Honor Society is offering peer tutoring to any student in grade 6-12. Peer tutoring will occur every Tuesday after school from now till the end of the school year. Tutoring will be located in the LMHS library from 2:35-3:30pm. All are welcome. No appointment necessary\

ASVAB Testing and Assessment - March 6th
LHS will be offering the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) which includes a validated aptitude test and an interest assessment. The testing results are used to guide career exploration using ASVAB CEP's career planning tools. Participation in the ASVAB does not obligate you to talk with military recruiters or consider a military career.
All students in 10th grade and above are eligible to participate. There is no cost to participate. For additional information, please visit this link: https://www.asvabprogram.com/
The ASVAB will be held during school hours on Thursday, March 6th at 8:30 AM and is approximately 3 hours long.
The Post-Test Interpretation is scheduled for Wednesday, April 2nd at 8:30 AM and is anticipated to last 1 hour. During this time, a counselor or ASVAB administrator will explain more about what your test results mean.
Students who would like to take the ASVAB must sign up in the School Counseling Office by 2:30 PM on Thursday, 2/27.
LHS Community Scholarship Applications Now Open
Lunenburg High School is pleased to announce that Community Scholarship Applications are now open for the Class of 2025. Over 50 scholarships will be awarded and we encourage all graduating seniors to apply.
Students should visit the School Counseling Office to pick up copies of the scholarship applications. Applications have also been posted in the Guidance 2025 Google Classroom.
All Community Scholarship Applications must be returned to the School Counseling Office by 2:30 PM on March 13th, unless otherwise noted. Please contact Ms. Madison Rowley (mrowley@lunenburgschools.net) for additional information or with any questions.
College Planning for Seniors
Congratulations to all students who have submitted college applications! Students should update Naviance to indicate their acceptances when they begin to receive decisions from schools.
Students are also invited to visit the Guidance Office to create a college flag to add to our bulletin board of college acceptances.
All seniors who are working on college applications must meet with their counselor at least two weeks before their first deadline. This is necessary to ensure that all components of their application will be ready to submit on time. Students are encouraged to visit the guidance office with any questions throughout their college application process.

Registration for AP Exams remains open until March 7th at 12:30 PM.
