The Hero Workshop Assembly
The Hero Workshop Assembly
We are excited to announce that our upcoming school assembly will feature The Hero Workshop, an engaging and inspiring program from Culver City! This assembly, titled "The Story of Giving," will take place on December 11th and is designed to spark creativity, and encourage reflection on the importance of generosity in our lives.
The Hero Workshop is a non-profit organization known for its immersive storytelling and role-playing games that promote imagination, critical thinking, and collaboration. Using scenarios inspired by games like Dungeons & Dragons, their professional Game Master guides participants through adventures that challenge them to solve problems and make choices grounded in empathy and generosity.
During this assembly, students will explore the concept of giving through storytelling and interactive scenarios. They’ll think about what it means to help others, and how small acts of kindness can create big changes. The assembly promises to be a fun, hands-on experience that blends storytelling with life lessons that our young heroes can carry with them beyond the classroom.
We encourage you to extend this conversation at home! Here are two questions you can ask your children after the assembly:
- "What was the most memorable part of 'The Story of Giving'?
- "How did the main character in the story help others?"
We are excited to offer this unique opportunity to our students and look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on their imaginations and hearts.
