TPSP and Innovation Hour in Fort Bend ISD πππ
In the coming weeks, your child's school will provide specific details about their campus's GT Showcase. To help students prepare for their presentations, we recommended that projects be finalized by the end of February. This would allow ample time for planning and polishing.
Each campus will set its own deadline for project completion, so please watch for updates from your child's school. We look forward to celebrating our gifted students' remarkable talents at the showcases!
For more information, visit your childβs campus GT webpage. Navigate to the campus homepage, select "Students and Parents," and then choose "Gifted and Talented."
GT Learning Plans πππ
Campuses have completed the 2nd progress check for the GT studentβs individualized goals. We encourage you to review this information in Skyward.
GT Mentorship Partners π
Students have continued their mentorships and have grown exponentially in a very short period of time. They have also been participating in the interview process for the class of 2026 at each high school campus in the District!
Sienna Dermatology
Marshall High School senior Amya Johnson at Sienna Dermatology is learning about medical dermatology, shadowing Dr. Mary Moore and Dr. Angel Puryear in patient consultations and procedures. She is learning about handling appointments, insurance, and superior patient service as well. Thank you so much to the staff at Sienna Dermatology for teaching her and providing exceptional guidance!
Houston Methodist Sugar Land Orthopedics and Sports Medicine
Dulles High School senior Austin Elem has had the opportunity to observe two full days of orthopedic surgical cases alongside Dr. Mark Vann II with Houston Methodist Sugar Land Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. Thank you, Dr. Vann, for providing this all-access opportunity to this deserving young man!
City of Sugar Land
Ridge Point High School senior Dawson Nunn is being mentored by the City of Sugar Land's Office of Strategic and Government Affairs Office. Mentor Teagan Trammell and the team have given Dawson hands-on opportunities to learn about the City's strategic plan, break down the current Texas legislative session, and sit in meetings to help him understand the complexities and overlaps in local government. A trip to Austin may also be in his future!
