Back to School Night - Thursday, September 5th.

Go to your child’s homeroom teacher’s classroom (or the classroom s/he indicated in their communication) at the following times. Feel free to visit other teachers’ classrooms before or after your grade level meeting. Specials teachers and interventionists will be around from 5:15 - 7:00.

TIS’s first Miner Family and Community Meeting will be on Thursday, September 5 from 3:30‐4:30 just before Back to School night. We’ll be in room 111 in the 5th Grade pod and via zoom at

We are excited to invite your child to the Telluride Intermediate School Homework Club, starting Tuesday, September 3rd. This club provides a space for students to work on assignments, read, and study in a supportive environment. Please note, this is not a tutoring service, but students can receive guidance as they work. Sign-up here: TIS Homework Sign up.
Details:
- Location: Room 212 (Computer Lab)
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 3:30 - 4:30 PM
- Tuesday: 2:00 - 3:20 PM
- No sessions on half-days.
Expectations:
- Students should bring homework and materials.
- Personal devices must be stowed; school iPads are available.
- Students should use quiet voices and follow the TIS Golden Rules (Be Kind, Be Responsible, Be Safe).
- After completing homework, students may read independently.
- Each student is responsible for tidying their area before leaving.

If you haven't already paid your $50 iPad fee, please do so ASAP. If your student's insurance fee is unpaid and he/she damages the iPad, your repair fees will be significantly lower if the fee is paid now! Please send the money in with your student or deliver to me at the TIS office. Cash or check only.

Welcome back to school! We hope you had a healthy and wonderful summer break. Just a reminder that we are here to help your child stay healthy and safe. Please send in the necessary documents for their health inventory and immunizations as soon as possible.

Parents, breakfasts and lunches are free again this year, but if you qualify for Free and Reduced, you may have some student fees at a lesser charge. Please click HERE for info.

New procedure for TIS breakfast!

TIS students can have a free breakfast from 7:55 – 8:05 in the school cafeteria. If a student misses the morning service before 8:05 he/she can pick up a breakfast next to the TIS front office after checking in with the homeroom teacher. Breakfast service ends at 8:15.

When arriving at school, students are encouraged to go straight to the cafeteria if he/she needs a breakfast. We also provide supervision at the playground starting at 7:55. We do not have supervision in TIS entryway, so students cannot wait there. Only students who arrive at 8:05 or later should enter through the entry way. Please help your child be punctual every so all students can have a strong start!

The Telluride Choral Society Youth Choirs will begin rehearsals on Friday, September 13th. The first rehearsal will be an info session and mini-rehearsal where all students can show up and try it out!
