SAT Summer Academy

Birdville ISD is proud to offer this opportunity to support students in preparing for the PSAT/SAT and offer college connection activities this summer. The program will provide two weeks of instruction for Math and Evidence-Based Reading and Writing. Each day of the program students will be engaged in activities that will provide College and Career Connections. We will also provide information on how to use Khan Academy to access individualized online tutoring for the PSAT/SAT after our program has ended. Register today because space is limited.

Benefits from participating in the Birdville's SAT Summer Academy

First, your SAT score is a major part of college admittance. The higher your score the more opportunities that open up. When you take the PSAT 10, PSAT/NMSQT, or the SAT and say “Yes” to Student Search Service ®, College Board connects you with their scholarship partner organizations, which could mean money for college. There are over $350 million in additional scholarships for qualified students from all major demographics. The awards—ranging from $2,000 to full-tuition scholarships—are made possible through our partnerships with these 24 leading scholarship providers.

Dates

Monday - Thursday for 2 weeks (June 6 - June 16)

Times

8:00 am - 11:00 am

Students will not be admitted into the building until 8:00 am. Please pickup by 11:00 am.

Transportation

There is no transportation provided for this program.

Cost, Food, Supplies & Capacity

Cost

There is a $50.00 registration fee.

Food

Breakfast and lunch will be provided should your students want them.

Supplies

Students will need to bring their Chromebook fully charged. All other instructional supplies will be provided.

Capacity

Due to budget constraints, we are limited to 40 students.


Our intent is to have each teacher capped at under 20 students in a room. This is to support quality instructional time.

We will follow up with an email the first week of May to confirm your plan to attend. We will also notify those that will be place on a waiting list if we hit capacity.


The first week of June we will email again and we will request a response to confirm your plan to attend. We will look to notify those on the waiting list at the end of the week if they were admitted into the program.
