Please know that the placement process for all of the Westgate students is extensive and well thought out. To that end, it is important to understand that requests for a specific teacher will not be considered, as allowing parents to request teachers puts a significant strain on an already extensive process. All staff members are committed to providing the best education for your children. This form is to be completed by Friday, April 11, 2025.

Westgate Rides is back! Celebrate National Bike & Roll to School Day on Wednesday, May 7 by riding or rolling to school! Wear your Westgate spirit wear to celebrate and prepare to get rolling all through the month of May! Can't get to school on wheels? Want to participate from home? No problem! Bike Bingo cards will be distributed to all students who want to keep riding during the entire month of May. Turn your card into your teacher or the front office by May 30th to be entered into a raffle for prizes donated by local bike businesses.

It is important to talk with your children about ways they can stay safe in the community. Below are some suggestion on how parents can talk with their children about these important topics. We want to empower of children to have the tools needed to feel safe in the Westgate neighborhood.

Westgate-Buddy Up, Stay Safe, the Wolverine Way!

The State of Illinois requires students in Kindergarten, Grade 2, and Grade 6 submit a completed Illinois School Dental Examination Form, signed and dated by a licensed dentist.

Deadline: Proof of a dental examination must be submitted no later than May 15, 2025. The exam must have been conducted on or after November 15, 2023 (within the past 18 months).
