Staff Development Waiver Day - January 6th - No School for Students

Kids Heart Challenge Begins in PE for the American Heart Association - January 7th-31st

PTO Sponsored Principal's Coffee - Friday, January 10th

Based on our Parent Education Interest Survey, the majority of Bennett parents requested information on Internet & Social Media Safety. Therefore, our School Resource Officer, Officer Mo, will be presenting important information at our PTO sponsored Principal's Coffee on Friday, January 10th, at 8:15AM in the Learning Commons.

5th Grade Avid Information for Middle School - Due January 15th

Middle School registration is around the corner, and one of the exciting things about middle school is choosing electives. One elective that will be offered is called AVID, which requires a nomination from the elementary school and an interview.


The school counselor will introduce the AVID elective to all 5th grade students on Friday, after lunch and distribute the brochure below for them to bring home. The brochure provides a brief overview of what the AVID elective is, who is eligible for the class, and an AVID Elective interest slip.


If your student is interested in the AVID elective, please complete the information on the interest slip, cut it out, and bring it to school by next Wednesday, January 15th.

This year, our "Campus Improvement Tactic Team 5: Staff Recognition & Positive Work Environment" has created a new staff recognition award for Bennett staff." This Tactic Team will promote a positive school culture amongst our Bennett staff by increasing staff recognition and leading our Sunshine Committee.


This week, Tactic Team 5 is celebrating and recognize

two Bennett staff members for going above and beyond to serve our school and promoting a positive school culture at the BEST school in McKinney!
