Graduates, please arrive at the Dome by 2:30 pm and be ready to enter the venue by 2:45 pm sharp. While this is a joyous and fun occasion, we also want to remind you that is an important event, your behavior matters and sets the tone for the incoming senior class!
Families, please remember to not bring balloons, noise makers or large posters so that all can enjoy seeing their graduate cross the stage and hear their name called. Additionally, the Tacoma Dome requires clear bags and all will need to pass security check points that include metal detectors.
Livestream links to all our Graduation Ceremonies are available HERE.

The House that Tom Built
After 23 years of service to our community, Superintendent Tom Seigel is retiring at the end of June. Seigel is the longest serving superintendent in the 75 year history of the Bethel School District. In fact, not including his term, the average time in office for a Bethel superintendent is only six years. “We don’t see leaders like this a lot.” said Pierce County Executive Bruce Dammeier. “There is a reason that superintendents generally last three to four years. That Tom has done such a great job for so long has been to the tremendous benefit of this community, and all of Pierce County.” Read more HERE.
Pride Month
LGBTQAI+ Pride Month, celebrated every June, honors the 1969 Stonewall uprising that sought equal justice and opportunities for LGBTQAI+ people. This month recognizes the historical impact of LGBTQAI+ individuals locally, nationally, and internationally. At SLHS, we believe that fostering acceptance and support for all youth, including those identifying as LGBTQAI+, improves the safety and quality of our communities and schools. We honor the contributions of our LGBTQAI+ students and staff and join them in allyship and celebration.
