The Academy for Science and Health Professions at CHS
From the Headmaster...
This is a busy time in the Academy!
We've had HOSA District, Science Bowl and Science Fair. In a few weeks, we will have Engineering Design Competition (EDC), Biotech, UIL Math and Science, Regional Science Fair, and the next level of HOSA competitions!
We had more students than ever before qualify for the next level of HOSA (Health Occupations) and we have 70 students advancing to Regional Science Fair.
I'm so proud of your amazing students, and I'm honored to be able to support them in everything they do.
Only four more months in this school year, but it is shaping up to be a busy, fun, and exciting four months!

Great leadership opportunity for Class of 2023
Education for Tomorrow Alliance is proud to partner with the Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce to offer the Next Generation Leadership program to 12th grade students in the Chamber service area. The program is intended to provide promising students with the opportunity to learn about leadership at work in Montgomery County and to cultivate individual leadership skills through interactions with professionals in business, education, and government.
Students meet monthly to learn directly from community leaders and decision-makers on topics including economic development, health care, law enforcement, and more. In addition, participants engage in personal and professional development activities and community service throughout the year.
Details and application can be found here:

PSAT Scores were posted on December 6
To access scores, choose one of these 2 scenarios:
1) You have already created a College Board account
If you have signed up for an AP exam and have an account or participated in a previous administration of the PSAT you would have received a score report with your access code and possibly set up an account at that time. Go to www.collegeboard.org. Log into your account using the username and password you set when the account was created. If you don’t remember it, click the “I forgot my password/username” link and follow the directions. Click PSAT scores. Your access code is not needed at this point. Keep it for future use. You should now be able to view and print your scores. Be very careful not to create a second account. If you do your data will be in two locations and you will have to contact College Board for reconciliation. If you don’t see any scores and are certain you have created an account before October 2021, contact College Board to see what you should do.
or
2) You do NOT have a College Board account
If you DID NOT create a College Board account before taking the PSAT in October 2021 go to www.collegeboard.org. Click PSAT/NMSQT. Click Sign Up. Follow the prompts. You will need to use the email address you listed on your PSAT test. This is the same email address College Board emailed you to let you know your scores are available to view online. You have now created an account and should be able to view and print your detailed scores. This needs to be a student email address, not a parent email address.
DO NOT FORGET!!! One of the most important steps you can take is linking your PSAT scores to Khan Academy for FREE Personalized SAT Practice. You can follow the directions at this link. PSAT KHAN ACADEMY
**IMPORTANT INFORMATION: The email address you create a College Board account with will be the same email address you use to log in for every College Board exam throughout high school (PSAT, SAT, AP). It is very important that the student sign in or create an account using the student’s email address, not the parent’s email address.
For your convenience, your access code and initial scores have been uploaded in to your Naviance account. Your access code can be found by logging into Naviance Student, clicking on the words About Me in the upper right hand corner, then click on my account. Your ten character access code is listed as your nickname on the left hand side of the screen.
