Principal's Comment
Kia ora e te Whanau
We have been celebrating Te Wiki o Te Reo Maori with a range of fun activities. Thanks to tamariki and teachers in korero te reo karawhiua - giving the language a go!
Our interschool cross country team represented our school proudly on Tuesday. Our team made a significant improvement in our result from last year. Congratulations to Nate Armstrong who placed second in the Year 6 boys event!
Mrs Jo Woods, our Junior Team Leader/Assistant Principal, has announced her retirement from Onekawa School at the end of this year. Jo has been a wonderful teacher and leader over the past thirteen years. We will acknowledge Jo's considerable contributions to Onekawa School at the end of the year.
We have just finished the process of appointing a new Junior Team Leader/Assistant Principal to start in 2024. I will announce the new appointment on Monday afternoon.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Nga mihi,
Steve
