Thanks to the Sunnyvale Elementary and Intermediate School PTA, our Raiders is Pre-K through 5th grade enjoyed Boosterthon, an exciting fundraising event that encouraged students to get out and be fit while raising funds for their campus.

The PTA raised over $25,000 for two specific campus needs: increased literacy needs including decodable readers and new risers for SIS. We are so grateful for the tireless work of our outstanding PTA, who steered this incredible event!

YOU CAN STILL HELP PTA GET TO THEIR ULTIMATE GOAL OF $30,000 for these campus needs! If the goal is met, Mrs. Dlabaj and Mrs. Staley must spin the, "Wheel of Misfortune!" Who knows what our lies ahead for our principals!! 🤣 (All in good fun, of course!)

SMS Jr. FFA hosted a Farmers' Market this week and showcased their entrepreneurial skills by marketing and selling their own goods. The funds from the market will go back to supporting the Jr. FFA's needs for next year.

Homegrown plants

Crocheted items

Jewelry

Baked goods

Pickled veggies

Dog treats

Homemade bookmarks

Harvested honey

Cheese balls and dips

Home decor

SMS school supplies will be posted on the SISD website in the summer.

SHS school supplies will be announced by teacher during the first week of school next fall.

Our inaugural PTA Charter Meeting is set for May 28th at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom. Be a part of our charter group for a special, discounted membership fee!

We can't do this without help from parents and volunteers.

Your presence on this Zoom meeting is crucial as we aim to establish our PTA. Membership dues for charter members will only be $9.00, but they will increase to $50 when we open membership in the August.

We MUST HAVE a minimum of 20 individuals to attend in order to officially form our PTA with the state.

Anyone can join - parents, local business members, grandparents, teachers, local community members - ANYONE who cares about SMS and SHS students and teachers!

Additionally, this gathering will officially determine the names of those who will lead our PTA as part of the Executive Board.

Be a part of shaping the future of our school community. We are excited to see you there!
