Mountain Bay Mustang Messenger
October 2024
Message from the Principal
Happy October, Mountain Bay Families!
Personally, I'm a fall person...can't beat the changing of colors and the crispness of the air, before it starts to hurt the lungs in a few months. 🙂
Around this time every year, we forget how quickly the year starts and just like that, we're a month into school! October has been off to a fantastic, active start with Walk to School Day and our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students having the opportunity to showcase their football skills with some representatives from the Packers and DCE football team.
Thank you to our students, families, staff, and PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) for an amazing kick off to our upcoming Glow Run. Our wonderful PTO and staff are excited for all students to participate in the run on October 11th. The students absolutely loved this event last year! Thank you, thank you to our families for your support of the run and our students, staff, and PTO!
Speaking of PTO, we're also looking forward to each classroom carving pumpkins and those being showcased during our Trunk or Treat event near the end of October. Please be sure to read over the information below to mark down those important dates/events. It'll be November before we know it!
Thank you for your continued partnership!
Dismissal Procedures and Parking Lot Safety
Dismissal Procedures
Your child's safety is our number one concern. Please make sure to drive slowly and carefully at all times through our parking lot areas. We have had some near accidents due to vehicles entering the parking lot the wrong direction through the exit. For everyone's safety, please take an extra moment to pull around the front of the building and into the parking lot through the correct entrance. Thank you for your help and assistance to keep all our students and families safe.
Please make every effort to arrive no later than 3:45 p.m. to pick up your child. If you are running late, please call the office at 715-355-0302 ext. 0 to notify us in advance.
Scheduling Your Child's Parent Teacher Conferences
Scheduling Parent Teacher Conferences
Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on October 29 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. and Monday, November 4 from 11:30-7:30 p.m. Conference scheduling is done online, please watch for your personalized scheduling link to be emailed to you. The conference scheduling system will open on October 8. We are offering three choices for conferences this fall, you may meet with your child's teacher in-person, virtually via WebEx, or you may schedule a phone conference. Please make sure to get signed up for a conference with your child's teacher. If you need assistance scheduling a conference, please contact Jocelyn Barwick in the front office by calling 715-355-0302 ext. 0.
