I am thrilled to invite you to participate in an exciting project to develop microcredentials in various fields. Microcredentials are short, focused credentials designed to provide learners with opportunities to demonstrate specific skills and knowledge in a particular area.
These microcredentials are what will be used for future educators who are applying for a CTE endorsement to demonstrate competency.

ADMIN: Strengthen Educator Supports πͺ
Itβs no surprise that supportive conditions that foster staff well-being also positively impact retention rates.
If youβre looking to solve a staffing shortage in your school or district, be sure to engage with this fact sheet from REL Northwest, which highlights eight categories of working conditions to consider prioritizing as part of your recruitment and retention strategy.
UCET Innovative Teacher Award Nominations π‘
Just a friendly reminder that the UCET Awards nominations deadline is coming up on Friday, January 31st. We need your Innovative Teacher awardees - these teachers will receive free attendance to the UCET Conference as well as a $100 Amazon card.
Special Population: Learners Experiencing Homelessness π
This month, we highlight the special population of leaners experiencing homelessness. Learners experiencing homelessness or McKinney-Vento were first defined as a special population in Perkins V, so states and local CTE leaders are in the early phases of implementing strategies to support this learner group.
