The Eagles Nest
Week of May 20, 2024
Happy Sunday Families!
The test window for the K-5 iReady Math Diagnostic and mClass Dibels Reading is opened for our students. To help ensure your child performs their best make sure they come to school well rested, eat breakfast, come on time, and avoid early check outs. Interim reports went home with students last week. Please take the time to review your child's interim report with them and talk about things they need to work on before the end of the grading period.
Tomorrow we will be taking our Champions on a field trip to celebrate them reaching their monthly iReady goal. Our Champions will be going to Fireflies Pottery and Art Studio to create a piece of pottery to take home and they will be treated to a Chick-fil-A lunch. On Tuesday, our fifth grades will be traveling to Texas Roadhouse for a special moving up lunch.
This week we are looking forward to our Art Show and Step Up Night. Each student will have a piece of art on display. Families will get to walk the halls and look at all the art on display. Families will also get to visit their child's grade level for the 24-25 school year. Also, make sure to bring your sibling who will be entering Kindergarten or invite any friends that you know will be attending Clyde Erwin for the 24-25 school year. We will also have food trucks on campus if you would like to bring money to purchase dinner or a snack. Friday will be our last PBIS celebration. Students who reached their goal will be treated to a cool treat from the Kona Ice Truck.
Looking ahead, our Fifth Grade Moving Up Ceremony will be held on June 11 at 11:30am in the MPR. Students will be able to invite two guest to attend this ceremony. Tickets will go home with students the week before the ceremony. Students may dress for success on this day or come in school uniform. Teachers will have a checkout sheet if you wish it take your child home after the ceremony. The Kindergarten celebration will also be on June 11 at 12:30pm in your student's classroom. Due to space students will only be allowed to have two guest attend. Tickets will go home with students the week before the ceremony. Teachers will have a checkout sheet if you wish to take your child home after their celebration. Older siblings cannot be checked out from class to attend any of these celebrations.
