What's Happening This Week?
Happy Sunday! Last week, we finished our DIBELS testing for 3rd grade and will be sending home letters for students about their scores and their progress toward their end of year DIBELS goal. LEAP testing for 5th grade will continue Monday through Wednesday for most students and continue for any 5th graders needing makeups on Thursday and Friday. So far our 5th graders are taking their time and using their strategies. We are so ready to see how well they are going to do! They are working hard to meet the goals they set on their LEAP contracts. Keep encouraging them to show off their smarts. Pre-K and 5th grade will have Easter Parent Lunch on Thursday. If you pre-registered, your schild's teacher will send you a Remind with the important details. We can't accomodate any additional guests so if you did not pre-register, please know that we can't allow you. Thanks for understanding. We are out for Easter Break April 14-18 and will return to school on Monday, April 21st. We have Kindergarten and Ms. Meyers and Mrs. Ross Parent Picnic that day. Teachers will send you info through Remind for their specific class lunch time. On Tuesday, April 22nd, we will have our rescheduled Pre-K Parent Picnic. Pre-K teachers will send your their lunch times through Remind. Thank you for your partnership in helping our Broncos to learn and grow. It's going to be a great week to be a Bronco!

CAR POOL HELP NEEDED...
CAR POOL has shifted due to construction. Please bear with us and be patient. If you want your child to move to the bus, call the office and we can get you the information.
Parents, we will be shifting car pool loading and unloading area soon due to construction. This will be even more important for you to not arrive early. We will post information and directions of when this shift will begin. If you would like to move your child to the bus to avoid the car line, please call the office and we can help. We appreciate your patience with the construction and our car line.
We really need your help parents! We have so many parents in car line that it's causing issues. If you get here BEFORE we start unloading, the line is backing up to the road and that's not safe. If you get here and the line is already to the turn, PLEASE pull up and don't leave any gaps. If you see a bus needing to get out, please yield to the bus so they can get out otherwise you can pull up and you DO NOT have to keep those gaps open. Please, please don't get here before 7:00. You need to arrive between 7 and be here before 8:00. If you arrive right at the bell, the duty teachers have to get to their classes. They can't stay there because the line just gets bigger and bigger after the bell. We know this can be frustrating but need you to understand that there has to be an end or they'd never get to their class. If you want to start your child on the bus, call and we can help get that started. THANK YOU for your cooperation and assistance.

Perseverance
April Family Newsletter
Home Connection Activity
Parents, here are some ways to talk to your child about perseverance.
- Share stories and challenging experiences. Be vulnerable and share personal experiences when you have struggled with a task or concept and had to work hard to push through.
- Praise effort and process, not intelligence or performance. Affirm students for the process they used to tackle tasks and point out how their abilities grow through their own hard work.
- Give your child the chance to struggle. Struggle builds self-confidence, independence, and perseverance. Resist the urge to intervene immediately and give students time to figure it out.
