Tickets will be purchased through MySchoolBucks this year.
- Ticket Price: Homecoming Dance Tickets are $10.00 each, and every person attending the Homecoming Dance must have a ticket.
- Homecoming Dance Tickets for AHS Students: AHS students should purchase their own ticket on the MySchoolBucks site. Each student will be able to purchase only one ticket.
- Homecoming Dance tickets for AHS students will go on sale Wednesday, September 18, and will be available for purchase via MySchoolBucks through Wednesday, October 9.
- Guest Homecoming Dance Tickets: Each AHS student attending the Homecoming Dance may bring only ONE guest.
- Homecoming Dance Tickets for Dates Who Are AHS Students: Each AHS student should purchase their own dance ticket, even if your student is attending as the date of another AHS student.
- Homecoming Dance Tickets for NON-AHS Students (including AJHS 9th Graders): Any AHS student who plans to bring a non-AHS student to the dance, should first complete the Guest form. Click here for the 2024 Homecoming Guest Form. Upon approval from AHS administration, you will be sent an email link, to your ACS email, that will have a link for a guest ticket. You may only purchase one guest ticket AFTER your guest has been approved. Homecoming Dance tickets for non-AHS guests will go on sale Wednesday, September 18, and will be available for purchase via the link, students are sent upon guest approval. The DEADLINES ARE FIRM, so students should not wait until the last minute to purchase tickets.

- AHS Design Club Shirt Fundraiser: Here are some reasons why you should consider purchasing the Design Club's brand new t-shirt:
- September is Suicide Prevention Month – This is a time to raise awareness of this critical issue. AHS Counseling will use this month to share vital information with all students through various planned activities such as PSA videos, mental health self-care tips, awareness presentations, and the STOP Suicide Pledge. Our goals are to ensure that students, teachers, and the AHS community have access to the resources they need to discuss suicide prevention and know how to seek help. Don't hesitate to contact a counselor or administrator with questions or concerns.
- Marine Corps Scholarships: On September 26th, 2024, a representative will be available during all lunch periods to discuss the Marine scholarship opportunities offered through the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC). The Marine Option provides individuals with a strong commitment to service and the chance to earn a commission in the United States Marine Corps while pursuing their academic studies at a participating college or university. For further details about this opportunity, please reach out to your Career Coach, Mr. Bailey, at wcbailey@auburnschools.org.
- Southern Union Technical Division-Dual Enrollment: On September 26, 2024, at 9:00 a.m., representatives from the Technical Division of Southern Union State Community College (Opelika Campus) will be available in the media center to discuss their diverse range of programs and dual enrollment opportunities. For more information or to register for this event, please contact your Career Coach, Mr. Bailey, at wcbailey@auburnschools.org.

Information for Sophomores:
PreACT and Tiger Connect Attendance: AHS sophomores will take the PreACT online on October 1.
Sophomores need to be present for every Tiger Connect session as we approach October 1. Tiger Connect meets Wednesday, but we will have an additional Tiger Connect the Monday before the PreACT, on September 30. It is during that Tiger Connect session that students will learn their testing room. During Tiger Connect, students will receive a tutorial on the testing platform, try out the online testing environment, learn where and with whom they will test, and, most importantly, be reminded to bring their completely charged iPad with their brick and cable on the day of the test. To make this experience run smoothly, parents and students need to begin talking about, planning for, and preparing to take this test.
Information about the PreACT: The PreACT is a standardized test that provides sophomores the opportunity to see how they are projected to score on the ACT as juniors. The PreACT has four sections: English (30 minutes), Math (40 minutes), Reading (30 minutes), and Science (30 minutes). The total testing time is two hours and 10 minutes, not including pre-administration activities, like name, address, post-high school plans, etc. The PreACT is scored on the 1-36 ACT scale, so students will be able to assess what areas they need to improve upon before taking the ACT. Students who take the PreACT should receive their scores approximately 8 weeks after the tests are sent into the testing center. See the attached Preparing for the PreACT Secure pamphlet to help your sophomore prepare for this assessment.
Information for Juniors and Seniors:
- Juniors and Seniors on PreACT Day Attend an E-Learning Day: October 1 will be an E-Learning Day for juniors and seniors, which means juniors and seniors do not report to campus. E-Learning assignments requires students to do the following:
