Week of May 5th
Dear Arroyo Families,
Next week, May 12 - 16th is Staff Appreciation Week! Please see the attached flier for activities planned throughout the week for our Arroyo Staff! Thank you for making them all feel special and loved! For a list of staff and their "like" list, please click here. To sign up for breakfast for staff click here.
Our 3rd, 4th and 5th Graders will be doing their CAASPP Testing until the week of May 12th. It is important to have students here on time, as we start testing promptly in the morning and students arriving tardy cannot be allowed to enter the classroom once testing has begun. We recommend a good nights sleep for all students and eating a breakfast before arriving at school. We are also serving breakfast here on campus, starting at 7:30am. If you would like your student to eat breakfast at school, please plan accordingly and have them to school around that time so they have time to eat before 8am. Thank you for helping our students be successful!
5th Grade Families: Please mark your calendars for our 5th Grade Culmination Ceremony happening on Wednesday, June 4th, at 8:30am!

Helping your child succeed in a dual immersion program is an exciting journey—but we know it can also come with questions. That’s why Arroyo created this resource just for you!
Here, you’ll find practical tips, learning activities, and language support to make it easier to reinforce learning at home. Whether your child is developing bilingual skills, tackling homework, or preparing for assessments, we’re here to help you navigate the process with confidence.
⭐Important Updates and Reminders⭐
- Please remember to complete your Aeries Parent Portal Data Confirmation! This needs to be completed for each student, every year!
- Arriving on time each day is essential for student success. When students are tardy, they miss valuable instructional time that helps build the foundation for their learning. Even a few minutes late can disrupt their focus, make it harder to catch up, and impact their confidence in class. Tardies also interrupt the classroom routine, affecting not only the tardy student but the entire learning environment. Developing good habits of punctuality helps set the tone for a productive day and teaches responsibility that benefits students throughout their academic career and beyond.
- All students must be picked up NO LATER than 2:20pm. Dismissal is at 2:09pm, and we will have no campus supervision after 2:20pm.
- Do not park your car along the curb to drop off/pick up your student. Please use available parking spaces or street parking if you would like to walk up to drop off/meet your student at the gates.

Please help us continue to improve by filling out these two surveys!
