Immunization Requirements
Updated 2024 child care and 2024–2025 school year immunization requirements
Wisconsin has updated its immunization requirements for child care and school entry. These changes will go into effect for child care centers immediately, however the first child care assessment using this criteria will be done in spring 2025. The changed will go into effect for school-age children at the start of the 2024-2025 school year. (https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/immunization/reqs.htm)
Changes include:
Adding meningococcal (MenACWY-containing) vaccine to the requirements for students entering seventh grade, and a booster dose for eligible students entering 12th grade.
Parent report of chickenpox disease is no longer acceptable for exemption from the varicella (chickenpox) vaccine requirement. Children must have a diagnosis of chickenpox from a qualified health care provider (M.D., D.O., N.P., or P.A.) to be exempt from this requirement, however existing exemption options still apply.
Updating the definitions of “substantial outbreak” for both child care centers and schools by revising to align with CDC definitions and to add chickenpox and meningococcal disease to the definitions.
What has not changed?
The updated requirements leave in place the already established list of required vaccinations.
In addition, the existing exemption options for medical, religious, or personal conviction reasons are still available.
There is no requirement for seasonal flu vaccination or COVID-19 vaccination. These remain strongly recommended by leading health experts, including DHS, CDC, AAP, ACOG, AAFP, and others.
Changes implemented in 2023, including:
Changing the grade at which the Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and acellular pertussis vaccine) is required to the start of seventh grade. Previously this vaccine was required at the start of sixth grade. This change is to better align with the recommended age (age 11) at which children should receive the vaccine.
Requiring schools to provide reports of vaccine compliance and disease outbreaks to DHS in addition to the previously existing requirement to report to local health departments.

ATHLETICS and ACTIVITIES "SKOOP" from Mr. Sprenger
The end of the school year is officially here. Seniors have officially played their last high school event, taken their last steps at Ebben as a student-athlete, rode on their last bus as a team, and taken their final bow to their parents, friends, and spectators.
All of these seniors are left with the memories from their four years of high school. Some of those moments include memorable comebacks, playoff appearances, State appearances and victories. These seniors also provided a lifetime of memories for everyone that came out to watch and support them.
Thank you seniors for your contributions and for providing those memories for everyone that came out to watch all of you compete over the last four years! Best of luck to all of you in your future endeavors.
Community Track Hours
We are happy to offer community track hours. We will also be offering speed and agility training to students starting on June 18, 2024, from 4-5pm; Tuesday-Thursday.
Due to an athletic program on June 19 and 20, we will not be offering community track hours on those days. Speed and agility will be moved to a location to be determined by the Coach.
Here is more information on the community track hours. Community Track Summer Policies
Community Weight Room Hours
We are also excited to offer community weight room hours for this summer. We will be offering an introduction to weight training program that will be open to middle school students and any other students who are interested in using the weight room.

Kohler Classic
On Saturday, June 8, 2024, the Kohler Athletic Booster Club hosted the Kohler Classic. Despite it being a cloudy and rainy day, the Kohler Classic had the most participants that it ever had.
This year the event was hosted at Ebben Field, where the new pavilion area was fully utilized. Everyone that I spoke with said they really enjoyed having it at the new pavilion area, and everyone had a great time at the event.
Thank you to the Kohler Athletic Booster Club, and all of the volunteers who make this event possible. All the money that was raised from this event will go back to support Kohler Athletics, so we want to thank them for organizing this great event!
🙌 Spring Highlights
Baseball
The baseball team had a memorable season this year. It was their first season at their new field and it was an exciting season for them!
The team accomplished their first 10+ win season in almost a decade, and also got their first playoff win in almost a decade. Unfortunately, their season came to an end with a heartbreaking 2-1 pitching duel loss to Winnebago Lutheran. The Kohler-Christian baseball team returns most of their team next year, and we are looking forward to getting better in the offseason!
Congratulations to Aiden Case for being a unanimous 1st team all conference pick, and congratulations to Jackson Mannon and Landon Hock for making the 2nd team all conference team. Thank you to seniors Cole Brandemuhl, Sorin Drevline, and Gavin Saxe for your dedication and hard work to the baseball program.
Boys Tennis
The tennis team had another great season this year. This was the first year that they were able to play on the new tennis courts, and the feedback the team and school received about the new courts was very positive. The players, and parents enjoyed having courts that they could call their own.
The team continued its streak of sending participants to State by sending Nolan Villwock. His first round matchup was tough as he played one of the best players in the State. He battled hard and gave it his all, but lost in the tiebreaking set.
Congratulations to Nolan Villwock, Dylan Grueneberg, Aneek Patel, Max Reinthaler, and Paul Ritter for being 1st team all conference, and congratulations to Aiden Schueller, Jorge Felde, and Zach Regennitter for being second team all conference. Thank you to Artan Ameti, Henrique Oliveira, Max Reinthaler, and Paul Ritter, for all of your hard work with the team over the last four years.
Golf
The golf team has had its share of success in the last few years, which included two state championships in a row. This year, the team gave it their all, but the young team fell short of making it to State.
The varsity team finished 3rd out of 14 teams at the conference meet, and went on to take 3rd place at regionals where they went up against some of the toughest teams in the State. The team returns most of their young athletes next year, and are working hard to make it back to State.
Thank you to senior Maria Burrows and Julia Sachse for your hard work and dedication to the golf program.
Soccer
The Lady Blue Bombers finished the season 5-10-1, which was the most wins that they have achieved since 2021. This was a group that played with a lot of heart, and played hard until the end when they lost to Mayville 2-0 in the playoffs.
Congratulations to Emerson Schueller who won second team all-conference. Thank you to seniors Emersyn Oldenhoff, Nicole Zimmermann, and Emerson Schueller for all your hard work and commitment to the soccer program.
Track and Field
The Track and Field program had a season full of memories and once again had State participants this year. The team also broke several records this year.
The girls 4x800 (Maggie Behler, Ella Loest, Sophia Kwacz, and Lillian Pociask recorded a time of 9:48.47. Maggie Behler broke the girls 1600m run with a time of 5:17.51, she also broke the 3200m run with a time of 10:59.09. Finally, Katie Schumacher broke the girls shot put record with a distance of 36’ 10.5”. Congratulations to all the track student-athletes that broke these records.
Other highlights included, the team winning the Glen Funk Invite, and sending nine participants to State in the girls 4x800, 3200, and 1600m, and the boys 3200m, long jump and shot put. The 4x800 team finished 5th in the State. The team will return a lot of their student-athletes next year.
Thank you seniors Hunter Bugbee, Tyler DeAmico, Amber Hess, Trey Keller, Jimmy Neist, Senibua Sander, Katie Schumacher, and Haven Wimmer for all of your hard work over the last four years.
