Mandatory School Closure March 16th-April 6th

Dear Westview Community,

Though it is a difficult and stressful time due to COVID19, please know that your safety and well-being are the priority. We hope that you are doing your best to take precautionary measures and maintain healthy habits. Even though PUSD is closed, the counseling team is still here to provide resources and support!

Maintain a Routine

Make a schedule to follow in order to maintain structure and routine. This will ease the transition once we return to school as well as maintain basic skills and knowledge over the closure period. Try to make equal time for every subject covered in the typical scheduled day and allot time for hobbies, connecting with loved ones and self-care.

Practice Self-Care

Practicing self-care is essential now more than ever and can keep us grounded and calm despite the stress we are facing everyday. Self-care looks different for everyone so take some time to find something that works best for you during this time.

How Can School Counselors Help?

Westview counselors are available by email during the time of district closure. Emails are coming in high volumes at this time of year so your patience is appreciated as we reply back as soon as we can. We are able to provide resources and support to families when needed.

In terms of CRF, information could be found on our website and course registration newsletter . The counselors are still working on courses for next school year and are available to answer questions regarding course selection through email.
