Technology Awareness
Technology is a wonderful gift for student growth. Replacement/repair of abused items takes away from learning, instruction, and others.
*ALWAYS USE A CHROMEBOOK CASE. ALL STUDENTS IN GRADES 5-12 HAVE BEEN SUPPLIED A CASE AND A CHARGER!*
For Awareness:
Usual culprits & possible solutions:
*Playing around: socializing is great, however please be mindful of the area around you. Bumping, pushing, and falling are not good for students or Chromebooks.
*Stepping on devices in cafeteria, classroom, bleachers, band, locker rooms and bus: If possible, don't put them on the ground. If not, place them close to you and out of the path of others. Be mindful of items on the floor, desks, and seats. USE AND KEEP CHROMEBOOK IN A CASE AT ALL TIMES! Every student in grades 5-12 were issued a case.
*Holding devices by the screen will cause screen damage. Never pick up and hold the Chromebook by the screen.
*Forgetting to bring devices to school: Establish a routine and place the Chromebook, calculator, and borrowed school items in the same safe place when done with it for the day.
*Don't leave Chromebooks and calculators in a car! Heat will damage/destory the hardware!*
Students need to bring their Chromebook and calculator to school every day!
