Greetings West Wolves and Parent/Caregivers,

The celebrations and events continued last week as we celebrated many of our seniors at scholarship night, out theater and music departments presented quaranscenes and the senior showcase, our spring athletes are headed into post season competitions and the list goes on and on. Thank you to everyone that helped our first Sun Prairie West Prom be a great success! The kids looked stunning as they danced the night away.

We are in the final stretch! Please check out the first "article" in the newsletter highlighting important upcoming dates. We DO have class this Friday as it was converted from a professional development day to a student attendance day due to snow days, it will be an "A" day. Some important dates coming up for students include the last day to turn in late work May 30/31st.

We continue to celebrate Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Check out these beautiful resources as we celebrate our AAPI community.

The end of the school year is quickly approaching! Here are some very important upcoming dates.

• May 26th- In-person learning day with ALL students. It's an "A" day!

• May 30th/May 31st- Last day for 2nd- semester late work

• June 1st/June 2nd- Last day for course summatives

Please give us feedback by completing this very quick survey of how our communication has been this year so that we can grow into the future (it could take as little as 1 minute to complete).

Please make sure you are completing your resume assignment for SP30 so that you are all up to date. Remember that SP30 is pass/fail. A failing grade in SP30 will lead to athletics and activities ineligibility as any other failing grade. Please check in with your SP30 advisor to see if you are all set.

Summer School

Summer school registration is now open. To be eligible for summer school transportation, you must register by May 16. We have numerous summer opportunities for students:

• Initial Credit classes (meaning it is the first time the student is taking a credit-earning class)

• Credit Recovery options (students who have previously failed a class may have the option to retake it in the summer)

• Enrichment classes (no credit offered; students take these classes for personal enrichment)

What an incredible spring sport season we have had. Come support our student athletes as they finish up their season, upcoming events this week.

We have students working to start our very first Stomp and Shake team. If you or someone you know would be interested in being a coach for a Stomp and Shake team for the 23-24 school year please reach out to Mr. Nee and Principal JP ASAP. Stomp and Shake has deep roots in HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) and would enrich our culture and community here at West with additional opportunities for students. Please reach out for more information as we work to launch this new club. Thanks!

A few reminders as we continue 2nd semester:

• Parents/Caregivers be sure to use the pick-up/drop-off lane for dropping off and picking up your scholar. DO NOT pull into the student lot or the staff/visitor lot as this causes congestion and potential accidents.

• Handicap stalls are ALWAYS reserved for vehicles with a license plate or placard. Never pull into a handicap stall to wait for someone you are picking up or dropping off. We have had several instances where our scholars are unable to be picked up by their accessible vehicle because other vehicles were in those spaces.

• Students: make sure you have your parking pass and parking in the student lot.

• As we continue 2nd semester we will be rebooting parking lot enforcement including tickets. Please reach out with what questions you have.

As we prepare to start the year we are in need of awesome subs to help take care of our students when staff are out. Are you looking for a new opportunity? Do you know someone looking? Can you help spread the word? Please help us get the word out so that we can ensure that our students have the very best people supporting them even on days staff (teachers or support staff) need to be out. Having an ample supply of fantastic subs is also a great way to support our staff by allowing them peace of mind when they are out.
