How We're Celebrating! ๐ Update #8
Dear Families,

Costume Rules ๐บ
๐ Keep it Spooky, Not Scary: Avoid costumes with violent or bloody images. It's okay to look "spooky," but nothing too gruesome.
๐๏ธ Masks and Makeup: Masks that cover the eyes and face are fine, as long as your child can see clearly. Please keep makeup minimal and apply it at home. Remember, learning is still happening, so your child might need to remove their mask during class.
๐งฅ Safe Costumes: Make sure your childโs costume doesnโt have anything hanging below the wrist or ankle to avoid tripping or getting things caught.
๐ Easy-to-Carry Props: If your child has props, they should be easy to manage, especially if they take the bus.
๐ซ No Weapons: Please donโt include any toy weapons in the costume.
๐ PE-Friendly Costumes: If your child has Physical Education on the 31st, pick a costume thatโs safe and easy to move in.
ALERT: ๐ซ
NO PEANUT OR NUT CANDY/COOKIES OR PRODUCTS OF ANY KIND, PLEASE!

JOIN US
School Council and Friends Meeting
Join us this Wednesday, October 30 @ 6:30 for our School Council and Friends of ALH Society Meetings. Join us in person in the library or virtual at this link.
Bus Lane Changes
The bus lane has been expanded at the front of the school to meet the space requirements for the extra buses we now have. The bus lane now extends all the way to the crosswalk past the A.L. Horton Elementary sign. We do not want anyone to have any issues with law enforcement, so please avoid parking in front of the school between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
AMA Patrollers on Duty!
We are fortunate that Mrs. Miller and her crew of AMA Patrollers are now on duty. They have a difficult task in keeping all our children safe at the crosswalks. Thank you for using the crosswalks instead of jaywalking and going through the buses. While walking and driving around A.L. Horton Elementary before and after school, thank you for obeying the commands of the AMA Patrollers and setting a good example for the school community.
