Principal's Message
Dear Panther Families,
Welcome back, the two weeks of our Fall break went by rather quickly! I hope everyone was able to enjoy some family time. School will resume for students on Tuesday, October 8, it will be a minimum day for students.
As a reminder, there is no student supervision until 8:15am, students are not permitted on campus until that time due to safety concerns.
For student safety and to support our noon duties during morning student supervision, beginning Tuesday, October 8th, all students, TK-6th grade, will line up in the auditorium before school (8:15am-8:50am). Due to the limited space and student safety, parents/family members/guardians will not be permitted in the auditorium. Thank you for your understanding.
Minimum Day Schedule:
8:50am - 1:40pm TK-Kinder
8:50am - 1:50pm 1st-6th grade
As a friendly reminder, to minimize disrupting student learning and required academic instructional minutes, students who forget their lunch can get their lunch from the cafeteria (it is free this school year). All other forgotten items can wait until the following day. Also, per our District Wellness Policy, no sodas or caffeinated drinks are permitted on campus. Thank you for supporting our students learning and wellness environment.
We have some exciting news for our upper grade students (4th, 5th, & 6th graders), our Student Teacher, River Chau, will be starting up our Student Council this school year! The purpose of the student council is to allow students to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare, the student council is the student body's voice. They help share student ideas, interests, and concerns with the schoolwide community. Students will have their informational assembly on Thursday, October 10th. I would like to give River Chau a HUGE thank you for heading up this important student council team! π
Parking:
As a reminder, there is no parking in the red zones, double parking, and parking in the SDC designated parking unless you have a placard. We need to keep everyone on our campus safe. Our School Resource Officer (CVPD) police officer will assist us in enforcing these rules as two are law. Thank you for your understanding and support in making sure our students and families remain safe.

We review our school wide behavior expectations with students.
Chula Vista Elementary School District Board of Education meeting...Wednesday, October 9
The meeting is held at the district office at 6:00pm.
Student Council Assembly for Grades 4th, 5th, & 6th...Thursday, October 10
Students will attend the assembly at 9:00am.
PTA Exotic Birds assembly...Friday, October 11
Thanks to our amazing PTA, our Panthers will get to see an Exotic Birds assembly! Thank you PTA!
