Message from Mrs. Lewis
Dear Randle High School Families,
I am honored to have been named the Principal of Randle High School. This moment is about our shared commitment to excellence, and I am excited to continue working alongside such an incredible staff, student body and school community. Your support and commitment make Randle a special place, and I am dedicated to fostering an environment where students thrive, teachers are supported, and excellence is our standard.
I am truly proud of our students and all they have accomplished, and I know they will continue to attain success in all their endeavors. Over the weekend, our students continued to shine and excel in many areas:
- UIL Solo & Ensemble Contest: Our musicians performed exceptionally at the annual UIL Solo & Ensemble contest at Dulles High School. Several students received a rating of 1 (the highest rating), with some advancing to the UIL State Solo & Ensemble Contest in May. Congratulations to our Low Brass musicians for earning Superior Ratings! Special shoutout to: Lily – 1 on Flute and Ewo – 1s on BOTH Tuba & Bass Clarinet!
- Our Randle Mighty Lions Percussionists – Varsity & JV Ensemble 1 – STATE CHAMPIONS! Individual State Qualifiers: Paul, Samantha, Jose, Jace, Caleb, Brandon, Trae, Diego, and Brea!
- Boys Basketball: Our Lions are Area Champions, defeating Pflugerville Connally 71-58 and advancing to the third round of playoffs! They will face Port Arthur Memorial on Tuesday, February 25, at 7:00 PM in Channelview. Let’s pack the stands and cheer them on!
- Randle Royals JV Dance Team: Another winning Royal Weekend! JV Awards include: Sweepstakes and Judges Award; 1st place in Novelty, Pom, and Hip Hop; Supreme Novelty; Grand Champion JV and Top Rank Junior Team (Top scoring of all JV and JH teams)
- UIL State Swim Championship: Congratulations to Ethan and Alwin for their stellar performances!
- Alwin set a new school record in the 100 Breaststroke!
- Ethan finished 12th place in the 200 IM and 8th place in the 100 Backstroke!
- Winter Guard Success: Under the direction of Mr. Jesse Joseph, our TRHS Winter Guard earned the Silver Medal at the TCGC show in Pearland, and the WJHS Winter Guard placed 4th in their category. You can see these incredible performances on Friday, March 7, at the LCISD Winter Guard Showcase at GRHS.
Campus Climate Survey
If you haven't already done so, please check your email for the link to the Annual Campus Climate Survey. This is the final week the survey will be available. Students will also continue completing the survey during Advisory this week. Your feedback is extremely valuable in helping us provide the best possible education and learning environment for our students.
5th Six Weeks Reminders
As we begin a new grading cycle, let’s start strong and stay engaged! Success requires daily effort, attendance, and commitment to learning. Every class period matters, and we encourage students to be present, prepared, and actively participating.
Here are a few important reminders:
- Be On Time! Classes begin promptly at 8:25 AM. Arriving late means missing valuable instruction. Every minute counts!
- Dress Code: Students must adhere to the LCISD dress code policy as outlined in the student handbook. Dress code violations will be addressed accordingly.
- Student Parking: Only students who have paid the parking fee and meet all requirements are allowed to park on campus. Unauthorized parking may result in vehicles being towed at the owner's expense.
- Cellphones & Electronic Devices: Per LCISD policy, cell phones and other electronic devices must not be visible or in use during class periods. Failure to comply will result in disciplinary consequences.
- Early Release Day: Friday, February 28 is an Early Release Day for all students.
EOC Tutorials – Commit to Excellence
If your student has been assigned to EOC tutorials, it is essential that they attend. Even if they have passed (Approaches or higher), our goal at Randle HS is excellence for everyone—which means continuous improvement. Encourage your student to take advantage of this opportunity to strengthen their skills and maximize their potential.
As always, we appreciate your partnership and support in ensuring student success. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s assistant principal or counselor.
Let’s make this a great start to the 5th six weeks!
Sincerely,
Destiny Lewis
Principal

Climate Survey Open February 3-28
As part of our ongoing efforts to assess and enhance our school environments, we are gearing up to launch our annual Campus Climate Survey, scheduled to run from February 3 to February 28, 2025. This survey is an essential tool for gathering valuable feedback from our community, students, and staff, helping us understand their experiences and perceptions of their school climate.
The insights gained from this survey are valuable, not only for identifying strengths but also for addressing areas that need improvement. Your participation in this process is vital to our collective effort to foster a positive, supportive, and productive learning environment across our district.
Please watch your email for this very important survey. Thank you for your attention to this important initiative and for your continued dedication to our students' well-being and academic success.

We are collecting apple sauce to distribute to local families and individuals who could use a little extra help during difficult times.
Please send unopened packages of apple sauce to the front office, library or Room 2150. Every donation counts! Your generous donation helps spread joy and nourishment to those in need.
TRHS Makes an Impression at VASE
On Saturday, February 15th, TRHS traveled to Crawford High School in Rosharon, TX to compete in the UIL Visual Arts Scholastic Event (V.A.S.E.). Our lions impressed the judges during their interviews about their artwork and earned rankings from 1-4, with 4 being the highest. Out of 14 entries, we proudly brought home 11 scores of 4 and 3 scores of 3! The highest-ranking artworks advanced to a second round of judging and one of ours is headed to state!
Huge congratulations to all of our lion artists on their incredible accomplishments and an even bigger congratulations to Sophomore Kiana Church for her powerful piece "Just Stay Quiet", which is moving on to state V.A.S.E. in April! Additionally, all students who scored a 4 received a medal for their outstanding work.

Royals Make HISTORY at Nationals!
The Royals made history as they took home the title of NATIONAL CHAMPIONS at their very first trip to Nationals! The Royals placed FIRST in the Pom category. They were the ONLY team in Lamar CISD to make it into the Finals. But that wasn't good enough for our girls--they took it even further and brought home the GOLD! Congratulations Royals and congratulations Coach O'Haver!
Looking Ahead!

Parent Standards of Conduct
Lamar CISD welcomes parents and guardians to be engaged and involved in student academics and activities. Mutually respectful behavior at school campuses and in interactions with campus staff is essential for fostering a positive and productive school environment. Establishing clear parent/guardian standards of conduct sets expectations and creates a respectful and supportive atmosphere for everyone involved.
- Safety and Security: Parents/guardians must comply with safety and security protocols on campus, including sign-in procedures and visitor badges.
- Adherence to School Policies: Parents/guardians must familiarize themselves with school policies and follow them, including rules related to student drop-off and pick-up, dress code, and behavior expectations.
- Respectful Communication: Parents/guardians must communicate with school staff in a respectful and courteous manner. This includes using appropriate language, listening to staff members’ perspectives, and refraining from disrespectful or aggressive behavior.
- Appropriate Use of Technology: Parents/guardians are expected to use technology, such as email or messaging apps, responsibly when communicating with school staff.
- Appropriate Time and Place: Parents/guardians are expected to understand the appropriate times and locations for discussions with teachers or school staff. There may be designated parent-teacher conferences or specific office hours when staff can address concerns.
- Privacy and Confidentiality: Parents/guardians must respect the privacy and confidentiality of other students and families. Discussions about individual students must be conducted privately and not shared with others.
- Conflict Resolution: Parents/guardians are expected to engage in constructive conflict resolution if they have concerns or disagreements with school staff. This includes seeking appropriate channels for dispute resolution and avoiding confrontations on campus.
- Feedback and Suggestions: Parents/guardians should feel welcome to provide feedback and suggestions to the school administration but should do so in a constructive and respectful manner.
Prohibited Behaviors
In order to provide a peaceful and safe school environment, Lamar CISD prohibits the following behaviors by parents/guardians and visitors:
- Abusive, threatening, profane or harassing communication, either in person, by e-mail or text/voicemail/phone or other written or verbal communication
- Disruptive behavior that interferes or threatens to interfere with campus operations, including the effective operation of a classroom, an employee’s office or duty station, a campus lobby, or school grounds, including sporting events, parking lots and car-pickup
- Threatening to do bodily harm to a District employee, visitor, fellow parent/guardian or student
- Threatening to damage the property of a District employee, visitor, fellow parent/guardian or student
- Damaging or destruction of school property
Consequences
Depending upon the severity of the incident, parents/guardians or visitors may be removed from or otherwise banned from campus and participation in school-sponsored events under the criminal trespass laws.
In situations involving lesser infractions or where remediation is viable, a warning will be provided in writing prior to the filing of trespass and issuance of a formal ban. Should a parent/guardian or visitor fail to heed the direction issued in the warning, a ban or other restrictions designed to deter the conduct will follow.
No restriction, however, will prevent the parent/guardian from working collaboratively with the campus or district to meet the child’s educational needs, nor will a parent/guardian be excluded from a child’s IEP meeting.
Specific procedures for campus warning and ban decisions can be found in policy GKA (LEGAL) and GKA (LOCAL), as well as the Lamar CISD Student Handbook.
