Board of Trustees Employee Excellence Award Nominations
Looking to celebrate a Spring ISD employee? Now’s your chance! You can nominate anyone serving in the district—be it a teacher, custodian, secretary, clerk, mechanic, bus driver, librarian, nurse, or counselor—for the Employee Excellence Award and honor their outstanding contributions. Nominations for the award can be made by any employee, parent, or community member.
Awarded by the Spring ISD Board of Trustees, this recognition honors employees who exemplify the district’s guiding principles, core values, and embody the attributes outlined in our Leadership Definition. Each month during the school year, one employee is selected, and from these honorees, a grand prize winner will be announced at the Spring ISD Employee Recognition Banquet in May. The only employees not eligible for this award are Cabinet members and the Spring ISD Board of Trustees.
We’re looking for employees who are bringing the Spring ISD mission to life and helping us reach each and every Spring ISD student. To nominate them for the Spring ISD Board of Trustees Employee Excellence Award, complete the online recognition nomination form.
Updated 2024-2025 Instructional Calendar
Dear Spring ISD Families:
We wanted to inform you of some recent adjustments to our instructional calendar for this school year.
Three days have been designated as Teacher Inservice Days, during which students will not attend school. These dates are:
Monday, September 16
Monday, November 4
Tuesday, February 18
To help you plan accordingly, you can find the updated 2024-25 Instructional Calendar at www.springisd.org/calendars. We recommend printing it out and placing it on your fridge or another visible location as a reminder of these important dates.
We appreciate your understanding as we work to support our teachers with the professional development they need to continue providing high-quality education for your children.
When To Stay Home
As we prioritize the health and safety of all our students, we want to remind you of the importance of keeping your child at home if they are feeling unwell. To help you navigate when to keep your child at home and when it's safe to return to school, we’ve attached two flyers (in English and Spanish) with specific scenarios and guidelines.
Please review these materials carefully to ensure a safe and healthy school environment for everyone. Thank you for your continued partnership in keeping our schools safe.
