We are heading into our last weekend before the Fall! Hope you have had a great summer enjoying God and His goodness and family and friends. This Sunday we are finishing chapter five in the Sermon on the Mount (still 2 more to go!). We will be in Matthew 5:43-48. The call for this passage is to love your enemy. The sermon on the mount is language that helps us to see what the good life is like. Jesus is our best understanding of what the good life is like. This week we will hear that the good life is when we love our enemy, and that loving our enemy is acting like God acts in the world.

We also have our annual labor day cookout after service. Plan on sticking around and grabbing lunch together as we celebrate summer!

● Praise the LORD for a safe trip last week for our lead pastor, John Eger, to visit family in Wisconsin.

● Pray for a safe school year for all our students and teachers.

● Pray for our office manager, Amy Pelletier, hospitalized over the weekend with kidney stone issues. Pray for healing and a quick return to her home.

● Praise the LORD for a car for Dawn Mattera in Romania and access to the orphanages.

● Pray for Judy Partridge, recovering from knee replacement surgery.

● Pray for Kevin Wanamaker’s son in law, Scott and his family, who is dealing with a cancer diagnosis.

● Praise the Lord for Katie Pelletiers new job in ministry at the Barrington Christian Academy.

● Pray for all the September startups at FAC including Faith Foundations, Shot Club, Ground Floor and Community Groups.

● Pray for Mark Hathaway as he fills in again for Amy.

● Pray for our church finances - that our giving will meet our budget requirements.
