Bunny Hop
PE will host the Bunny Hop run on Friday April 18th. The students will run one mile for time to try and beat Mrs. Lenzi! If you beat Mrs. Lenzi's best time, you will receive a certificate!
We will have a Juice it Up fundraiser during lunch that day. They will be sold for $5 during your student's lunch. This will be a great way to replenish your student after their Bunny Hop run!
Thank you Kiwanis
Our local Kiwanis chapter fed nearly 500 Honor Roll student on Thursday. We had perfect weather for an outdoor celebration. Thank you Kiwanis for supporting our students!

FLASH Curriculum
Your student will soon begin their sexual health unit in their 7th-grade science class. We will be teaching the Family Life And Sexual Health (FLASH) curriculum. FLASH is aligned to meet the California Healthy Youth Act requirements. The goals of the curriculum are to prevent teen pregnancy, Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs), sexual violence, and to increase family communication about sexual health-related topics.
More information was sent home with your student last week. See the letter to schedule an opportunity to preview the curriculum and opt your student out, should you choose.

Reminders:
We recently reviewed the electronic device expectations with students. Please remember this includes smart watches. Students should not wear smart watches to school.
As the weather improves, more students may be walking to and from school. Please remind your students to walk in pairs or small groups for their safety. And please remind your student to respect our neighbors' yards and property. We have had several concerns neighbors share their concerns.
The nice weather also brings a change in our wardrobe. Please be sure students are wearing clothing that is appropriate for school and consider they have PE class daily. Midriffs should be covered, tank tops need wide straps, and shorts should be of modest length. On another note, pants should be worn at the hips!
