End of Year & Continuation
The 2024–2025 school year is coming to an end, and it’s time to celebrate!
8th Grade Continuation will be held on May 29th from 10:00–11:00 a.m. in the GVMS gym. Students should dress nicely for the occasion. Refreshments will be provided afterward, and there will be time to take photos with family and friends.
Following the ceremony, the entire school will join in a celebration with yearbook signing and fun activities.
To wrap up the last day of school, we will hold an Awards Ceremony from 2:30–4:00 p.m.

~ Come celebrate our amazing 6th, 7th, and 8th grade learners as we showcase their achievements in history class! Explore engaging student projects, presentations, and creative displays that bring the past to life.

- 6th grade trip to Eureka! McConnell Science Museum

Choir and Ukulele Concert at GVMS @ 6:30 p.m.

Summer School
Summer School will run from June 9th-26th at the transportation center near GVHS. The hours will be from 9-3 p.m. daily with busing and lunches provided.
This is an excellent opportunity to balance support and accountability for your child's learning. Any student who fails a core class for either first or second semester will be required to attend summer school to recover the grade and course learning. The school will be contacting you throughout the next few weeks if your child needs to attend.
US History Trip
It is not too late to sign your child up!
When: May 30th - June 5th, 2026
Where: Students will explore pivotal landmarks across Boston, New York City, and Philadelphia, from the Boston Tea Party Ships and Ellis Island to the Liberty Bell. Along the way, they’ll bear witness to the revolutionary birth of our nation and gain insights into the figures and foundational moments that helped to shape it.
