Parent-Teacher Conferences are almost here! Schedule today using our online scheduling platform below!

We believe that parent-teacher conferences are a vital part of supporting each student's growth and success. These meetings give us the opportunity to connect directly with you, share insights about your child’s progress, and listen to your valuable perspectives. By working together, we can ensure that your child feels encouraged, supported, and set up for success both academically and socially. We value this partnership with you and appreciate the time spent building a shared understanding of how best to support your child’s unique strengths and needs. Conferences will be held on Monday, November 25th from 12:00 pm - 7:30 pm and Tuesday, November 26th from 8:00 am - 3:30 pm.

Conferences are scheduled on a first come, first served basis, so please select the green button below to schedule your child's conference as soon as possible. Thank you!

In order to help you all know what the week looks like, we will list it out clearly for you each week. REID days are for invited students and will change each week. Students are invited to REID days for a variety of reasons. Sometimes it's to extend or challenge a student, and other times it might be to provide extra help on a particular skill. On those days, our doors open at 7:50 and dismissal is at 10:00am. If you have questions about this week's schedule, please let us know!

We invite all families to join us for a virtual meeting to discuss our Family Title 1 Reading Compact and to share your insights on how we can best support our students’ reading development. This compact represents a partnership between home and school, outlining shared responsibilities to foster reading growth and academic success. During this meeting, we will review our reading goals, share helpful strategies for reading at home, and discuss how families can support and encourage reading outside of the classroom. Additionally, the district is seeking your valuable feedback to shape and strengthen our approach, ensuring we meet the needs of every student. Your input is essential, and we look forward to collaborating with you to make reading a successful and rewarding experience for all.

Yesterday, during our morning assembly, we had the pleasure of honoring two students from each classroom who exemplified the Standard of Excellence trait of Collaboration. These students consistently demonstrate teamwork and work well with others to achieve shared goals. In November, we will recognize students who show the Standard of Excellence trait of Respect. We’ll be looking for students who treat others—both peers and adults—with kindness and consideration and who show pride and respect for our River Mill school community.

If you plan to order a yearbook for your student this year, you can purchase those at buytheyearbook.com or with exact cash or check in the office. You can save $2 by purchasing before Febuary 10th.
