What's Happening This Week?
Third graders playing I Spy!
Mr. Varner would like to send a big THANK YOU to parents!
He appreciates you dropping students off for math tutoring.
Post on Our Kindness Wall!
Miller County R-III Schools now have a Kindness eWall through YouUpLift.com and Columbia College! This is a digital wall where students, staff, and parents can submit positive, kind messages to others and those messages will appear on the digital wall on a loop. Messages can include pictures, memes, and GIFs. Submitted messages are reviewed by the school before appearing on the digital wall. The Kindness eWall can be viewed by clicking here and to submit a message, you would scroll down the screen to the message box below. We are currently working on linking the eWall to the school website and to run on the TV in the cafeteria so students and staff can see positive messages throughout the day. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Hopkins.

Social Media Threats
Recently, schools across the nation have experienced threats on social media. Our district has not received any threats to date. However, we do ask that parents help us monitor this by checking your students' social media accounts, talking to them about the responsible use of social media, and encouraging them, "If you see something, say something." If we are made aware of any threats, we do have a safety plan in place, and we will work with law enforcement to address this, as well as immediately informing parents and our community.
We appreciate your help and support as we make every attempt to keep our students safe.
High School Tutoring
We have several teachers who tutor throughout the year, so if your student needs help, we're here for them! Here is the high school after-school tutoring schedule. Mr. Varner, high school math, is available every morning beginning at 6:30 a.m. and can be here after school until 4:00--have your student let him know they're coming in.
Softball Pink-Out Game
Along with the Lady Lions Hit-A-Thon for the Cancer Awareness Pink Out game at home on September 30, you may also purchase a T-shirt to help support the fundraiser. All proceeds will go to our local Cookie Angels. Order forms are being sent home with students at school today. If you would like, you can click on this link and you can order it online through a Google form sheet. Forms and money should be sent to the school office. If you have any questions, please contact Alicia Burrows. Thank you for supporting the Lady Lions softball team and the Cookie Angels!
