Educating Everyone Takes Everyone

May 11, 2025
Dear Branchville Community,
Happy Mother's Day!
Whether you are a mother, grandmother, stepmother, or nurturing figure in a child's life, your impact is immeasurable. I extend my heartfelt wishes for a very happy Mother's Day filled with joy and cherished moments.
Speaking of celebrations, I also want to take a moment to acknowledge the resounding success of our recent PTA Gala! What a fantastic evening it was, bringing together parents and some staff teachers to support our students. The BES energy in the room was truly inspiring and a reminder of the support and strength of our community.
The love for Branchville was felt all week long. Thank you to parents and the PTA for their efforts and gestures to celebrate our staff during Staff Appreciation Week. It was truly appreciated.
As we look ahead, we are filled with excitement for the remaining weeks of the school year!
Once again, thank you to our amazing mothers and our dedicated PTA for all that you do to make our school community so special.
Wishing you all a wonderful Mother's Day weekend.

Kindergarten Registration
Parent Orientation
For parents of REGISTERED incoming kindergarten students, the May 15th orientation is an adult-only event that provides an overview of the kindergarten experience. After I make a few remarks, our kindergarten teachers will discuss the kindergarten day and answer any questions you may have about the kindergarten program and procedures. This begins at 6 p.m. in a kindergarten classroom.
Mini-Kindergarten Experience
We invite REGISTERED incoming kindergarten students to participate in Mini-K on Tuesday, June 3rd. Below is a schedule that provides you with the session your child can attend.
The mini-kindergarten experience is an opportunity for your child to get a brief introduction to our school, meet the kindergarten teachers and other staff members, and for us to begin getting to know your child.

Forever Summer Bridge
RPS’s Forever Summer Bridge registration is open!
Our elementary program is low-tech and high-fun! It includes multiple opportunities for outdoor time with peers, creativity, an emphasis on social-emotional support, and thematic project-based sessions that integrate math and literacy, providing each student with a joyful experience!
The Jumpstart to Kindergarten experience for our rising K students was a HUGE hit! We are excited to run it again this summer.

Visiting BES
Visiting BES
If you are visiting BES, one way to expedite the entry process is to fill out this form or use the QR code in advance of your planned visit (teacher meeting, PTA meeting, mystery reader, library or art volunteer, etc.) and your badge will be waiting for you when you arrive. If you have something to drop off for your child during the school day such as a forgotten lunch or instrument, there will be a table outside of the entrance to place the item.
When you arrive to enter the building, we ask that you press the video doorbell button and identify yourself. You will then be granted access to the vestibule.
Once in the vestibule, please do NOT hold the door open for a different guest entering the building. We cannot open the second set of doors until you are inside the vestibule. While this may be inconvenient and feel impolite, we are standardizing access to the buildings across the district so that everyone knows what to expect.
For visits to BES during the school day, I recommend that you arrive early as it takes some time to process your visitor badge. For a visit that is not arranged a day ahead of time, calling the main office ahead of your visit is a helpful practice.
