Grad Bash Volunteers
2025 Grad Bash Committee: Volunteers Needed!
Are you looking for a fun and rewarding way to get involved in planning an amazing event for our seniors? The 2025 Grad Bash Committee is seeking volunteers to join the planning team!
The committee meets one evening a month from January through May at DLHS. This parent-led group is organized into sub-committees to make planning manageable and enjoyable.
We’re especially in need of new parent volunteers to replace senior parents who are stepping down this year.
Opportunities are available in the following areas:
- Registration
- Fundraising & Donations
- Entertainment
- Games
- Prizes
- Accounting
- Food
- Decorations
- Volunteer Coordination
- Security

Princess - Brave Contest
The Detroit Lakes American Indian Ed Department is seeking K-12, DL students to compete in the Princess and Brave contest. The Princess and Brave contest will take place at the DL Powwow on Thursday, March 13, 2025 starting at 9:30am.
Students who are interested can find a Princess - Brave Application in their schools front office.

Registration Night for DLHS (ALC/E-Laker only if you plan on attending the HS)
Registration for the 2025-2026 school year is starting soon! One event you won’t want to miss is Registration Night, held this year on February 24th from 5:00–7:00 PM.
Registration Night is designed to help parents and students make informed course selections by providing direct access to teachers, counselors, and department representatives. This event offers valuable information about course offerings, curriculum pathways, and special academic programs. Over the past three years, we’ve continued to refine this night based on parent feedback, ensuring it meets the needs of our families.
Here’s what you can expect:
- Open House for Clubs & Activities – Learn about extracurricular opportunities at DLHS.
- Tours for Incoming Freshman Parents – Get a guided look at the school and key resources.
- General Session for Freshman Parents – Understand the transition to high school and what to expect.
- Course & Curriculum Fair – Meet with representatives from all DLHS departments in the commons to ask questions about courses, sequences, and curriculum options.
- Breakout Sessions – Gain deeper insight into key academic opportunities, including:
- PSEO (Post-Secondary Enrollment Options)
- Advanced Placement (AP) Courses
- Concurrent Enrollment Opportunities
- Online & Blended Learning at DLHS – Learn more about our flexible learning options.
Whether you’re selecting your first high school courses or planning for college credit opportunities, Registration Night is a great way to get the information you need. We look forward to seeing you there!
Community Connection
All Students must register for District Transportation every year. The form must be completed annually for any students that may ride the bus full-time or part-time.
A reminder that school Lunch/breakfast is free this year. Each student may have one breakfast and lunch meal at no charge. Additional items or a la carte items will require a food service balance to pay for them. Links to put money into your student lunch account is in the title.
