NEWS FROM THE PANTHER DEN
WEEK 21 EDITION
WEEK 21 REFLECTION
Success is rarely accidental. It is the product of dedication, discipline, and preparation—all coming together in the right moment. This week, the Golden Panthers witnessed this truth firsthand as both our hockey and boys' basketball teams secured incredible victories over highly favored opponents. These wins were not simply about talent or luck; they were the result of months of hard work, game planning, and the relentless pursuit of excellence.
There is an old saying: Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity. When our teams stepped onto the ice and the court, they were ready—not just physically, but mentally. They trusted their training, focused on their teamwork, and rose to the occasion. Their victories are a testament to the fact that when preparation is intentional and effort is consistent, success becomes a natural outcome.
The same principle applies beyond athletics. Whether in the classroom, on stage, in clubs, or in future career paths, opportunity will always come. The question is: Will we be ready? Our student-athletes have reminded us that preparation is key, and when it meets the right moment, great things happen. In speaking with the Principal from one of the other schools after the game, he said, "This was a game your kids will remember for the rest of their lives. They were incredibly prepared, well-skilled and it showed. They were ready. Good for them. "
As Golden Panthers, let us carry this mindset forward, embracing every challenge as a chance to prove what hard work makes possible. The second half of the year is ahead of us. May the preparation and hard work we have done in the first half of the year be the game plan we need to secure the individual and team victories that are to come, inside and outside of the classroom. Don't miss the opportunity. #nocknation

PROFILE OF A GRADUATE PARENT SURVEY --YOUR INPUT IS APPRECIATED!
You may recall that our district is in the midst of a collaborative, three-year project to create a "Profile of a Pequannock Graduate". The end goal is to align our efforts and embed key competencies that students will need for success in the future. A key component is to garner feedback from various groups in the school community as to what these broad competencies for future success should be. As parents, you are an essential part of this feedback. Therefore, we kindly invite you to take this important survey. It is designed to take roughly 10-15 minutes to complete. (Note that some question numbers may appear out of order; this is for data collection purposes. Simply answer the questions as they appear in the survey.) Thank you! We look forward to sharing our progress with you.
